Me: *rubs hands together* Me: how about the sinking feeling that no matter what I choose to do in life i will never rekindle the previous promise and excitement for life I had as a child, and because I was labeled as gifted at a very young age, I skated along for the vast majority of my highschool career until I eventually reached a level of complacency that I would turn things in minutes before the due date in order to feel anything to motivate myself, and sometimes even days after the due dates, meanwhile drown myself in mindless games that didnât give me anything except a failing relationship with every single teacher that once had a good thing to say about me, and in that gymnasium, while I watched all my classmates receive scholarships and futures I was only handed a slip of paper saying I had graduated. and even though I have tried to do things that used to bring happiness have lost all meaning to the point that the only feeling that can be felt is not true joy but the feeling of rebellion as I stay up later and later trying to chase a sunrise that I will never feel or see.

Weâre working to compile playlists for all current hermits and are taking all R-16 song suggestions!
Okay- this will slowly devolve into what I headcannon them listening to.
Bdubs- I'm Something Else by SomeThingElseYT. He listens to it in the mornings as he runs around with his moss cape trailing behind him
Cubfan- The Phineas and Ferb Theme Song. Legit. That's all.
Doc- Any Ramstein song, but like also some opera he hums as he breaks the server.
Etho- I think he would listen to some classy jazz numbers.
False- I got nothing on False tbh
Gem- she has the same like 8 show tunes from Disney movies she sings, but they are always the villain song. Nobody remarks on this.
Grian- He listens to his many remixes while he preens his feathers.
Scar- He listens to just all the 20's bands that he can find.
Hypno- He is an 80's era pop fan specifically.
Impulse- as a dad, he has listened to Let it Go so many times, its burned into his brain, but he likes his 90's pop.
Iskall- sea shanties. No i will not elaborate

Joe Hills- as a beat poetry man himself, he finds the most underground band possible then masters all of their songs and adds it to his collection.
Keralis- he loves his Lofi- Jazz.
Mumbo- He listens to almost exclusively his several songs that Ely remixed as he cries over new redstone projects.
Pearl- she listens to any chill vibes, but likes the background music for all the Planet Earth videos.
Ren- he's a theater nerd, but he hums along to any star wars music.
Stress- Don't hate me, but she unironically loves Vanilla Ice.
Tango- he would love to call himself a hardcore rocker, but he actually loves southern gospel music.
TFC- he is one for the really really old country music like Merle Haggard old.
Beef- he is an anomaly. No one can figure out what he listens to, and everyone has a slightly different idea what it might be. His beefy tunes did sell just about every type of music tho.
Wels- he and Joe and TFC all enjoy their country music together.

All twelve rulers of the Empires SMP! One 2-hr painting a day for twelve consecutive daysâthis was a really fantastic exercise and it was a nice way to relax and take my mind off things while Iâm sick with Covid. Thank you to everyone who followed along as I progressed! Itâs unfortunate that being sick prevented me from being able to take commissions this winter but Iâm glad I was able to do these, if I go too long without painting I get all itchy inside đ
Some take-aways from doing this series:
- I love painting faces! I feel like this is apparent, but worth mentioning.
- Iâm very bi. I feel like this is also apparent, but also worth mentioning ;)
- Speaking of, Empires has a really fantastic gender balance!! This makes me very happy.
- The number of highlights that are visible in the eyes really affects how you interpret the charactersâ personalities. I plan to speak more on this later :3
- There are only so many different angles of 3/4 view faces and I think I might have found them all
- While getting Covid is really awful on my body, it turns out to be amazing for my tumblr activity statistics. Silver linings!

While they don't normally talk, TFC Wels and Joe Hills get together to listen to the "oldies" of country music on Tuesday nights.

on every world, x makes a bedrock time out corner with his admin powers. if someone's nonsense is going too far, they get teleported into it to think about what they've done. it usually doesn't stop them, but x feels compelled to try anyway. the most recent inmate was doc, for even CONSIDERING his nuclear lag bomb.
He did however get a popsicle while in Bad Redstoner Jail, as a reward for deciding not to do that. Positive reinforcement! :D
