Can I trust that I didn’t ruin my life because a relationship ended?

I thought I was indecisive.

I thought I had trust issues.

Turns out, I was doing something completely different.

I wasn’t overthinking because I didn’t know what I wanted.

I was overthinking because I was trying to manage reality before it arrived.

Think about it.

You want to start the business.

But before you’ve even started, you’re thinking about the money, the clients, the taxes, what your family will think, what happens if it works, what happens if it doesn’t.

You want to have the conversation.

But before you’ve had the conversation, you’ve already imagined their reaction, your reaction, the next argument, and the next five years of your relationship.

You want to apply for the job.

But before you’ve applied, you’ve already decided why they won’t hire you.

That’s not intuition.

That’s management.

And it’s exhausting.

Because you’re carrying tomorrow while trying to live today.

The realization that changed everything for me was this:

I thought managing life was participating in life.

I thought being responsible meant staying ahead of everything.

I thought peace would come when I finally got control of all the moving pieces.

But peace didn’t come from getting ahead of life.

Peace came from getting back into relationship with life.

And honestly?

This is exactly why I created You Already Know. Now Move.

Because I realized I didn’t need more information.

I didn’t need more clarity.

I didn’t need another sign.

I needed to stop trying to manage reality before it arrived.

I needed to trust myself enough to meet life as it unfolded.

Now when I feel overwhelmed, I ask myself:

What’s actually happening?

And what story am I attaching to it?

Because most of the time, the overwhelm isn’t coming from reality.

It’s coming from me trying to manage reality before it arrives.
