Intrepid Games

So we've got a draft of the game ready and now I'm working on getting those draft blurbs set up into actual scenes. But while I'm working on things, here's a little of what's going on behind the scenes.

Right now, I'm working off of the story draft I did last week and trying to get them into proper scenes to go into the twine game.

SO I'm trying to go from this:

It's Halloween! Unfortunately, you and your friends are too old for trick-or-treating, so you decide to have a night out on the town instead. And what better way to celebrate Halloween than by going to a haunted house? A new one has just opened and they provide you masks for free!

Too bad it's a cheesy, kid-friendly haunted house. It would've been totally cool if they'd really gone for the creepy, crawly stuff. Your friends even suggest you guys stay and spook the little kids just for laughs!

But all the laughing stops when the doors get locked and things you thought were decorations turn out not to be decorations, and the things you thought were fake turn out not to be so fake. Now, with the hourglass running and only a monster mask as your only defense, you and your friends have to make it out of this crazy haunted house before you all become part of the decorations... Permanently.

But the poll is looking good! Looks like Happy Mask Haunted House is in the lead with Hitchhikers & Parasites in second place, and Salt & Blood in third.

But now that you have, everything’s changed. if you don’t act, your new friends are going to lose everything… and it will be entirely your fault.

Will you stand up against the empire and spymaster pulling your strings? Or will you succumb and watch your friends fall like every other species your kind has conquered. Only you can decide their fates.

You are the heir of seaside coven, and your sire, a Navy captain turned vamipric lord, has sent you to host a ball on his behalf.

Normally you hate balls, but this is a diplomatic mission.

Tensions have sparked between your sire and his vampiric brother since their sire’s death. A former aristocrat from a far-off city, your uncle prefers the Ambition and avarice of regency than the good will of his brother. Now, his demands threaten to undo your sires good will, and a battle for inheritance and command brews.

Your sire hopes to establish terms with his brother, but things everything goes awry when kidnappers from your uncle’s coven come to take you away and possibly burn the whole place down while they're at it. They’re good, but they didn’t accomplish this alone.

When you see the hellish sigil on beside their master’s colors , you know you’ve become a pawn in a much bigger game.

Will you go along with your kidnappers or fight them to the death? Will you be able to navigate the rivalry between your father and his brother? Or will your father's temper bring the end of you, your kidnapper, and both covens all together?
