Delegates from the United Nations Member States, Officials and staff of the United Nations secretariat as well as eminent persons from all walks of life in New York, will be participating in the event.Â

United Nations General Assembly resolution 69/131.
The United Nations General Assembly, on December 11, 2014, adopted a unanimous resolution declaring June 21 as the International Day of Yoga. The draft received tremendous support from the 177 member states and was adopted as a special day.
Since then, millions of people have participated in the celebrations of yoga every year worldwide.
Resolution proclaimed that June 21 will be marked as International Day of Yoga by resolution 69/131.
