I went to the Morton Arboretum in early August and took some photos that I have just now got around to processing! (Since then I’ve moved and been settling into a new city/job, which is all very exciting and whatnot.) I’m continually struggling to base my digital coloring off of what I get when I shoot color film, and I think these are some of my most successful attempts.

I’ve dismantled my Polaroid wall and packed up my current apartment in preparation for being a Real Person in a new city. I am, however, going to be in Europe for a couple weeks before actually being a productive human, so here’s hoping I take some photos!

Meant to post this a while ago. It’s a performance of my poem “Swing” paired with some music and the wonderful dance moves of one of the ballet dancers at my school. It’s part of the art series “Poetry in Motion” which matches spoken word poets and dancers so they can create really awesome performance pieces. Check out some of the others in the series, they’re all pretty great. Hope you enjoy!

updates from the void

I haven’t had much time for personal work this year due to various circumstances. I have, however, been slightly more active on my Youtube channel. I filmed a female-fronted show way back in January as well as this year’s Poetry in Motion. I’ve been doing videography regularly for two groups on campus, Phinix Dance Crew and Dirt Red Brass Band, and I also shot photos of Phinix’s most recent dance showcase. My personal blog is still alive and well, and consists primarily of me being excited about my very talented friends.

This is a long way of saying I have work in other places and life gets in the way sometimes but this blog is still dear to me, thanks for listening.

this morning i biked into a very large bush and just now i tried to go to a protest but went the wrong way and then didn’t walk fast enough to catch up so i took this on my sad walk home

i felt good today though despite obvious concerns about the state of the world
