I felt you and your Dad before I saw you. I didn't see you before I saw his fade. Then I heard the way he spoke to you. When I saw that y'all didn't know to go left or right, I had to interrupt. Then I heard your Dad trying to stay as calm as possible, but include you in a plan to find the bathrooms. I piped up because it was sincere and I knew the directions y'all needed. I didn't expect to see your little bookbag holding his hand as you looked over your shoulder multiple times at me. 4 or 5 with a little side of your hair shorter than the other. You looked at me like I shared something with you. With hope. I saw your little human body look at me and see that our details match and that you can grow up. Not be anything flashy or shimmery, but the pure gift of being able to grow up. You looked at me like I was something you could be one day because I was the first adult girl you've seen match you.

I have never been to a Lindsey Stirling concert. I wanted to start my relationship with her music in a way that couldn't be censored or altered; live baby.

I already loved her. I had lyrics written out by hand of Andrew McMahon that were hers/theirs. My little cousin showed me their song, and I needed to be reminded of what I could do "CJ, you are stronger than you know". The way that foreshadowed the years to follow echos hard.

If these have nothing to do with one another to everyone else in the universe except me-fine. ok.

To me? I will forever and a day have a morsel of hope that they do because these two complex humans separated are top tier artists. Factor in all the layers they encompass, all the abilities to create art together, but the ability to inspire and reach other beings is limitless.
