Hosted a Art Raffle to celebrate 1000 followers on Twitter and was challanged by Anggrishka to use their face design and bring Korlandril from Path of the Eldar to live!
Had a lot of freedom to interprate his description when he reveals his statue. I cant say i trully believe him when claims to dress "austere" but I refraind from ornate patterns and too sparkly stuff.
Had no official warhammer images for eldar civilian fashion so I just let lose with ever I thought would be appropriet. Lots of flowy fabrics and and types of garments we dont see in every day life. The goal was to design garments that we wouldn’t have names for. In the end I chose to go forth with one of the more conventional robes and let the cape/silver buckels do the heavy lifting with focal points and visual interest.
As I doubt Korlandril would showcase his grand creation in modesty I gave some extra love to his 'pointer'. Wraithbones shape language is more thouroughly shown in warhammer so it was a quest to design a object that feel right at home in the warhammer universe. Eldar often have smaller shapes that melt togthere into one biggee shaped with a focus on organic curves interupted by straight lines. Im happy with one I ended up with.
Colours were fairly simple and I chose a expensive feeling blue that transisitions in saturation. Blended in warmer hues in the purple cape and gemstones to give it more richness.
I take any oppertunity i can to draw patterns so I went ham on the framing. Lowkey believe that Art Nouveau is something elfs would like.
