Hi, I’m Akielah

I was born and raised in Cape Town, South Africa, and I’m in my late twenties — embracing this season of life with curiosity, ambition, and creative energy. As a Virgo, I’ve always been deeply passionate and naturally drawn to art, fashion, and design.

For as long as I can remember, creativity has been my language. Whether through styling outfits, experimenting with makeup, or building visual concepts, I’ve always found joy in self-expression. Sharing my thoughts, inspirations, and creations feels like the most authentic way to show up in the world.

My Motivation Calls Me “Mommy”

I’m a mom to two toddlers, ages two and three — born just eleven months apart. (Yes, Irish twins!)

Life is chaotic, exhausting, unpredictable… and incredibly beautiful. Every meltdown, giggle, and milestone has stretched me in ways I never imagined. Motherhood has taught me patience, resilience, creativity, and the depth of unconditional love.

This blog will honestly document the realities of mom life — the highs, the hard days, and everything in between — while still holding space for personal growth and creative ambition.

Created to Create

Since I was a little girl, I’ve loved designing my own outfits for birthdays, parties, and every special occasion in between. That passion evolved into becoming a self-taught freelance graphic designer and makeup artist.

My creative career was built from curiosity, experimentation, practice, and plenty of trial and error. Creativity has always been my therapy — my safe space to explore who I am and what I love.
