Residue of Shin-Ra [Closed]
Success. His gamble paid off, and quite richly. "See, father." he thought to himself with radiant satisfaction. "I make it look so easy."
He returned his attention to his phone, typing in some sort of message to the recipient on the other line. He had originally planned to leave for Junon in the morning, but given the current circumstances he felt he couldnât wait any longer. He didnât WANT to wait any longer. This was going to be an adventure. One that he would enjoy.
After his phone closed he looked up at Genesis, âYes, well, Iâve perfected the art of getting what I want.â
He hoped that his subordinates were right about Junon, also. He had no intention of being at the wrong end of the Genesisâ wrath, and if Sephiroth isnât in Junon then thatâs exactly where heâd find himself. Unlike Genesis, he was an average man; raised without enhancements. Though stronger than most, with the ability to wield a shotgun one handed, he was no match one on one with a former first class SOLDIER, ESPECIALLY Genesis. But it was a risk he needed to take, for he was equally as unmatched against Sephiroth.
"Indeed," he ran a hand through his hair before looking at his wrist watch. "My helicopter should be ready in about fifteen minutes."
He pushed a hand through his hair in minor frustration as he was completely against the idea of letting himself be manipulated so easily into taking care of this problem for the company. The only thing that kept him from refusing to do it was the fact that he kept the idea as something that was for his benefit only. It only happened to help the Shin-Ra company as well.
Genesis crossed his arms and watched impatiently as Rufus took out his phone to communicate changed plans to whoever was on the receiving end. Not only would he have to tag along with the president of the group who destroyed his home, but he would have to be in such close proximity as a helicopter.Â
"Wonderful... Fifteen minutes of pure bliss spending time here. Truly a dream come true- leave the Lifestream to do more work for this dead company." Genesis kept a certain solemn expression as he spoke quietly yet loud enough to still convey how spiteful he was.
Sorry I was gone over the weekend! I had a bit of homework and cosplay stuff I had to do so I had no time to get on here... Replies on their way~!

Rufus grinned. The sudden interest reassured him that he had indeed said the right thing. He pulled out his phone and flipped it open, giving a quick glance before offering Genesis an answer. âLast report I received he was heading toward Junon. Iâm about to head that way myself. Inauguration day, Itâs going to be a big to-do.â
He had to stop and think. The next words would have to be chosen delicately in order to keep the interest on Sephiroth rather than himself and the company. One former SOLDIER causing trouble was all he needed. With the roll of his eyes he continued, finally having found the correct words to say, âIâm sure he is strolling about arrogantly as he always does. No doubt, though, that he is making a mess of things along the wayâdisturbing the peace, killing innocent townspeople.â
"If anyone is going to be doing any town destroying its undoubtedly him."
Now here was where Genesis had two different options- both likely leading to the same end. He could go with Rufus Shinra which was something he wasn't so sure about. Genesis couldn't trust someone like him since for all he knew the moment he stepped out of plain sight he could be captured and then who knows what would happen. Things like these were what kept Genesis so cautious of others.
But on the other hand he could try to get to Junon on his own which wasn't the best idea. He had vague memory of how to get there and to travel on his own would be dangerous once he got to Sephiroth. He'd be worn down from the trip to Junon and Genesis couldn't see Sephiroth giving him time to recover from the journey.
"Well look who knows how to get what they want." He remarked as he knew that it had only been mentioned in hopes that Genesis would take care of the problem. "Let's hope you're right about him being in Junon." Genesis crossed his arms and tapped his foot lightly against the ground. "You say you were already heading there soon?"
"First is about the SOLDIER menu, second one applies to more secrets the company want to keep, these and these too -about the conquered lands- and this one is about⊠the use of your image on orange juice bottle." Sephiroth showed a faint smirk, but it faded. "This oneâs about staring up some fan club and the last⊠oh, itâs about the scientist cutting up your body once youâre dead. I suppose that doesnât really apply as we already belong to the company. A formality."
He handed Genesis a pen.
He raised an eyebrow at hearing the fan club bit.
"A fan club? What would there even be a fan club for? Let me guess- you're the president of this newly formed cult." Genesis reluctantly took the pen and sighed as he signed off on the first papers, skipping over the fan club one for the time being as he signed on the last one. He didn't entirely have a choice in the matter so he didn't particularly care what they did with him after death. That wasn't for a long while.

Residue of Shin-Ra [Closed]
"Give me a break."
His patience was wearing thinâthe mere mention of his father was enough to shut him down, but being compared to him? An abomination.Â
He had to let it roll off his shoulders, however, as he had bigger problems to deal with then a cantankerous former employee. Time was wasting away, and surely his subordinates had news for him regarding his mission. A thought suddenly crossed his mind. While he wasnât one for divulging information easily, he couldnât help but wonder if trickling out a small bit of information might work in his favor. He glanced down, seemingly uninterested in the man before him. âBesides, Iâm too busy to be wasting time and firepower on such pointlessness.â
His eyes returned to Genesis, fixing on his face intently as to catch his complete attentions. âWith your little friend Sephiroth running amok, that is.â
His parting lips gave way to a devious grin. By dropping such information he was taking a gamble, it could either work in his favor or backfire and make matters worse. Even if the latter were to come true, at least he would have had fun while it lasted.
His gaze lifted immediately at the mentioning of Sephiroth. He hadn't even heard whatever it was the president had said before the mentioning of who Genesis used to revere as a hero. Either this was a stroke of luck for Rufus or he knew exactly how to get Genesis' attention. That wouldn't be too surprising though considering that his father most likely kept notes on his employees.
"Sephiroth, you say?" The corners of his mouth twisted into a smirk as he thought about what a wonderful reunion it would be. To think that he would be able to finally determine which of them was the true Hero and which may be the Traveling of their story was exciting. Such a thing- aside from the fall of Shin-Ra- was the only thing Genesis took joy in and wished for.
"Where has he gone." Genesis had gone from being incredibly bitter to looking like he was actually in a better mood. He had a certain look to his eyes that gave away that his intentions were to possibly fight Sephiroth and prove that he deserved to be the Hero. The man would not settle for simply being given the role.
So, Iâd made a note about single mun rp blogs and follower comparisons, and Iâm just curious - who all runs more than one blog? Are they RP blogs, or RP and something else? Personal? I find it difficult to give them all proper attention (though Iâm working on it!) so Iâm curious to hear how other people manage.
I've got... three active rp blogs including this one and then I've got my personal. My oldest rp blog is a year and a half and has 360 followers. That muse gets occasional attention nowadays... The second is about four months old and has 100 followers and I go on there every so often. this one only has 16 but I just started a week ago from tomorrow. And then my personal i've had for a while and has 74 followers.
I really just get into moods for each muse on occasion and that's how I maintain them normally. Just go with whatever I'm feeling.

"Sephiroth?" He stared up at the larger man. "The same pleasure as always." This had been said with a certain amount of sarcasm. "What brings you?"
"The same as usual." Sephiroth flipped through the pages of a document in his hand, put them down on Genesisâ desk and pulled out three seemingly random pages. "Could you sign this -and these?"
He rested in elbow on the table with his cheek cupped in his hand. More paperwork- always so much fun to do... He gave a heavy sigh and stared at the pages blankly. "What are they?' Genesis asked- not even bothering to look over them himself.
"Wouldnât it be a shame if they found out your secret?" (in reply to your meme)
"My secret?" What could he ever mean by something like that? Genesis kept secrets but none all too destructive. If one or two got out then it would simply be a matter of them knowing a little too much for his liking. But Sephiroth wouldnât have said something if he knew such a trivial secret of his. Perhaps what he knew was something Genesis unconsciously kept as a secretâŠ
Whatever it was, he did not want something getting out if it was strong enough to enable Sephiroth to subtly use his knowledge against him. A winged man would be nothing to Midgar- that wasnât a secret⊠His obsession with LOVELESS was nowhere near that as well⊠So what could it be that Sephiroth was holding over himâŠ?

Remnants of the Past [Closed]
"I remember. It really was beautiful. Reminded me a lot of Gongaga actually, âfore the reactor was put in."
Not that Genesis cared. Zack didnât remember him to be a very sentimental man, hardly one that would sympathize with him on any sort of level. He strummed his fingers on his forearm lightly, as if in a great deal of thought, then closed what distance remained between them. Just a step more than what was arms length away.
"You left the lifestream, Genesis."
Are you really so against dying? I canât imagine what you have left thatâd make you fight so hard to stay here.
"Do not let yourself be surprised when they go after Gongaga as well." He had been there numerous times before that awful reactor had been placed in the village. While Genesis held not attachment to Zack's home, the younger ex-SOLDIER was right to compare the two. But to have the beauty of your home be torn away from the scenery slowly was something Genesis would've much rather. Banora had been standing as a beautiful town one moment and the the next was set ablaze.
It was true though... He had left the Lifestream and it had not wanted him so much that it simply let him leave. But why Genesis had left was a different question in it's entirety. While he did have a clue as to why he desperately clung to the last threads he was given there was no real answer staring back at him. It was frustrating that the Goddess remained silent during all of it...
"I have left the Lifestream- it seems you have as well. While you outlived me, I watched from the Lifestream alongside Angeal as you met your end as well. I had turned away from the world after seeing SOLDIER fall alongside you. What else was there to see? After all- I simply wanted to see Shin-Ra tear itself apart."
Mission: Golden Saucer
The dark haired man nodded as they exited the elevator though if Genesis was feeling uncomfortable at all, there was no doubt that the tall man was feeling even more. Angeal was always conscious about his surroundings, it was just something that he had to be aware of lest he accidentally bump right into someone. Still⊠he had not expected a crowd nearly of this size.
"An obsession, thatâs all it could be." Everyone had their vices after all. Angeal was too proud, Zack a little too carefree. These people seemed to enjoy the allure of gambling quite a lot. Still, as understanding as the 1st Class attempted to be, he could not fathom how people could actually afford to keep coming here over and over. He sighed, his tall frame sticking him above everyone else and making it easy to be spotted, let alone with the Buster Sword accompanying him. "I suppose we should start looking for that strength challenge." Though he was reluctant to do so, Angeal just might enjoy himself hereâŠ.maybe.
Times like these Genesis was grateful for his height as he could see over the heads of others quite well. Of course Angeal was taller thus could see even better without straining his neck as the other had to but that was beside the point. As he scanned the area for the arena he pushed past a few people to get further into the main lobby so stand at a better vantage point.
"A strange obsession if you ask me." But what did he know? This was coming from the man who spent his days trying to decipher an old text. He even went as far as to make any possible connection to his own life and those around him. Genesis wasn't one to point out his flaws- he allowed others to do that for him depending on the person.Â
Eventually he noticed the blinking sign for the tournament and Genesis let out a sigh of relief. "There it is... I suppose we can only hope that there are less people in there than there are out here." He took a few steps towards the entrance then looked over his shoulder to make sure Angeal had heard him.
Threaten my muse with one of the following;
"I know who you love."
"Iâll beat you within an inch of your life!"
"I know what youâre scared of."
"Iâll tickle you until youâre blue in the face!"
"Iâll turn you into shoes!"
"Wouldnât it be a shame if they found out your secret?"
"Iâll tie you up, get you hot, and leave you there, begging for more."
"Youâre more helpless than you think. I know that."
"Iâm going to have to take a look at your pancreas."
Residue of Shin-Ra [Closed]
"Oh I donât knowâ" he started with an amused sneer, "I think North Corel deserves to be put out of its misery." He was joking, though he knew Genesis most likely would not find his dark humor to be funny.
His father had definitely gone about things in a messy manor, or so Rufus thought. His  ways of âneutralizingâ really only put the company into an unnecessary negative spotlight. Rufus preferred to do things under the radar and totally unsuspecting. The element of surprise, and never knowing when Shin-Ra would pounce, is what would feed the fear in the hearts of the people.
He returned to seriousness before continuing, âI find it a real shame that you compare my style to my fatherâs.â
It was his biggest pet peeve, and the reason he refused to be referred to as âPresident Shin-Ra.â Pity be to the first person who regrettably forgets to call him âPresident Rufus.â
His eyes narrowed to give an icy glare to the blonde president as he seemed to be joking about bombing yet another place. Genesis knew how to take a joke but something like that wasn't something he'd take so lightly. Everything known to him had been ripped away within seconds and he had no option but to watch- powerless.
Genesis didn't even bother to grant such a tasteless joke any sort of verbal answer as he forced himself to relax his muscles. However, those blue eyes remained tense as they remained un-moving... Fixed on Rufus Shinra.
"A shame, is it?" Genesis repeated. "Perhaps it wouldn't happen if he hadn't be so quick with a detonation call. I don't care how it's done or in what style you do it. I find that in any given situation- Banora could not have been saved from your company."
It wasn't an abandoned village... Genesis had killed his own parents and when he looks back on it, he was glad that he was the one to end their lives. The man would have never forgiven himself if he had let them be taken away in the blast. It was no way to die. Fortunately, Mrs. Hewley met her end before the blast as well. Now everyone he ever cared for could watch over him safely. "You and him are of the same design- your joke could very well become a fact."

inmyownsalvation presents an RP blog for Genesis Rhapsodos - a very new one, even though the mun isnât new to Tumblr RP, so please do say hello! Much welcome from the Director and myself, of course.
deathlikestate has a Vincent Valentine RP blog, run by two muns, and if I were to guess Iâd say itâs definitely post Crisis Core, but probably into the original game canon without quite making it to Dirge of Cerberus for their target time period. But yus⊠VINCENT! (And two muns!)
silverstrands is a Sephiroth rper, and a little digging indicates that the mun may play him during CC era! *is, of course, excited* I also rather like âVuluftâ and would like to know how the mun decided that as their headcanon last name for their Sephiroth.
Honestly, I just want to know all about headcanons, as always. Come tell me about your muses and theirs!

His arrogance faltered. The seemingly lack of confidence in his presidential abilities had him offended. He had inherited his fatherâs company at the worst possible time, yet at the same time it could be considered an opportune time for him to rise in the eyes of the public as one of the greatest. It wasnât a lie that the company was a mess; the employees were in a panic over the Sephiroth incident and the building had once again sustained damages from rebellious attackers. What was worse, as far as Rufus was concerned, were the people his father had appointed as directors. Three out of the four, he felt, were incompetent fools, and he sensed a wavering loyalty in the last. He had no time to hire his own people, as he was thrust into presidency at an urgent time. On the other hand, the urgency that started his presidency also presented itself with a glorious opportunityâthe Promised Land. He would have the satisfaction of obtaining it, not his father.
Yet the man before him seemed to think that the company would crumble. If only he had any idea of the plans the new president had, and the greatness he was determined to achieve. His father would be compared passive in comparison to his sonâs rule, a lamb compared to a lion.
âWhat brings you back, anyway?â He asked with almost an annoyed tone of voice. The shift in conversation left a bitter taste in his mouth, and he had no time for people who werenât willing to give in to his intimidation. âIf all youâre going to do is sit here and criticize then Iâm afraid I have no time for you.â
Unnatural blue eyes looked down from the wall and slowly descended to the Shin-Ra president. He held no expression in his eyes for a long while as if he had spaced out and was in a complete dazed state. In reality, he was imagining the final demise of the company. A few moments passed then an expression of mock happiness washed over his face.
"But of course! How I'd hate to disrupt your reign of terror as you decide on which town for your company to detonate... Those Turks of yours truly love what they do, don't they?" Genesis couldn't help but detect the slight tone of irritation in Rufus' voice and sensing that gave the man true bliss.
A smile formed as he gave a nonchalant smile to the other man- he was going to live in this moment for as long as possible. What was he going to do to stop him? The most he could do was order people to take care of him but could he really afford another set of damage costs to his headquarters and the city? "So which unsuspecting village is on the bomb's radar now?"
Remnants of the Past [Closed]
Wind nudged the long grass back and forth, just strong enough to toss the fur of his wolf form back and forth gently. Zack sat calmly, completely at ease with himself despite being in the company of a man heâd never particularly cared for in life. He shifted his forelegs and watched the aburnet from a distance, waiting patiently until they had come to be somewhat near to one another. He stood and shed his form into one Genesis would remember, eyes luminescent with the glow of the lifestream.
"Fateâs funny like that," was his reply, a light smile pulling at the corners of his lips. Zack crossed his arms, chancing the possible danger that came with getting closer to the fiery ex-General. It wasnât as if the other could hurt him now anyway.
"You shouldnât be here Genesis. The longer you linger, the more youâre gonna hurt yourself."
Noticing the wide distance that the black-haired man kept between them, a slight smirk appeared on Genesis' face. What was he so afraid of that he wouldn't come any closer than that? It didn't matter all that much to him as long as this was the same Zack he had seen fall when he had been in the Lifestream.
"Is that so? And how might I do that? I simply wish to see what's left of the beautiful town that Shin-Ra destroyed on me. The has hardly changed since I was little. Except for the lack of grass, the ruined buildings, and the charred trees, or course." Bitter? He wasn't bitter- not one bit. Zack had at least seen what Banora was before the bombing. His comments were not lost on the younger ex-SOLDIER.
But Genesis understood what it was that he likely meant by him possibly hurting himself. To stay in a place that harbored so many memories of his childhood was to condemn himself to emotional and mental torment. He was willing to endure- as long as he could force himself to never forget what he once had.Â
