in my opinion, the wincest couple's/love arc looks something like this:
seasons 1-3: freshly in a relationship; passionate, obsessive love; first love; a new *something* being shaped; the early days of lovers
season 4-5: a couple's first big fight, the one that makes you question everything in a relationship, the one that makes you stronger or breaks you apart; the fight that tests your love for each other
season 5-8: you made it through the fight and now you're learning how to trust each other again, there is jealousy toward the people in your partner's inner circle (bc ofc there is), and there is uncertainty but there is also love and you know you'll make it through it
season 9-10: boundaries time. (or at least you try to set some), you think your relationship will work better if there are more boundaries and if you're less codependent (ofc it doesn't work out. you're even more codependent than before surprise surprise)
season 11-13: you're just an old married couple at this point. there are still some issues, especially with communication, but you're not that bothered; you're making decisions together now and you're a tight-knit team after putting behind you all the shit that went down in the past
season 14-15: you're peak husbands. that's it. you against the world. you're as codependent as you can possibly be. you're living in each other's pockets, waiting for death together and wanting to grow old together. who the fuck cares what happened before? you're together and that's all that's ever mattered.
basically wincest with all the stages (more or less) in a relationship as seen through the seasons. and you want me to believe these are just normal brothers?
