Hi, am an artist trying to get back into making art for myself, after my studies took up most of my mind. I rediscovered your account recently, and I love how you draw. I wanted to ask about your stylistic influences, as it's incredibly unique, and I learn more.

Tough question 😅 I think I pick parts of things I like, like the eyes from a Jojo doujinshi (I thiiiiiink it was called Breath on the Palm? It was caejose and the art was so good but i cant find it but the eyes are really well like. Layered.) and actually the noses from Eureka//7 but from AAAAGES ago...I used to draw the noses exactly like that lol and it developed.

I also like to look at good superhero comic art, they sometimes have the amount of stylization I like, like a Wonder Woman issue I have nooo idea how to search for, I follow some comic accounts and someone was reblogging a lot from a certain run I think and I would just pause over some of the panels like uhhuh, uhhuh, but thats all I remember.

I'm trying to get back into making art again, as school is starting to kick my ass once more. I decided to post/repost some art I made a year or two ago, as well as some school art projects I'm actually proud of.

Sunflower (2024)

A year after Across the Spider-Verse, I had looked back over the summer and wanted to make something that expressed the feeling during that summer.

Warm colors with pops of saturated cool tones, with Miles swinging through the city, having the time of his life.

I was experimenting with posing and perspective

Though technically unfinished, looking back, I am proud of it. Though I wish I could do more with this style, as I think it's the bones of something more interesting.

Grendel (2023)

During that same summer, I had made a habit of going to Barnes and Noble regularly. During that time, I read Grendel: Red, White, and Black and was inspired to make this piece.

I had heard of Grendel before, but back then, and even now, it's not something that sticks with me.

Honestly, the only thing that's missing from the piece was Argent, as he was part of the piece, standing on the building. I think I found his silhouette hard to draw, so I scrapped him.
