aaaa October is near and I really wanted to do Goretober this year. Instead of using a regular prompt, I actually created my own since the prompts I saw were pretty boring and repetitive. The prompt was originally going to be for myself, but I guess y'all can use it as well if you want. I made my own tag for the prompt, #ULIFEVGORETOBER17 so I can easily revisit what I've done for this, or find out who actually did it aswell (Please use tag if you're doing this! I'd actually would be interested to see what people would do with this). YOU CAN REPOST THE PROMPT! - Here are the prompts if you can't read the actual post. 1. ANIMAL MUTATION 2. EXTRA LIMBS 3. ROT/DECAY 4. JOINT TEAR 5. GUT-SPLOSION (GUTS EXPLODING OUT OF BODY) 6. CRACKING AND BLEEDING 7. CRYSTAL GORE 8. BACKMASKING/SATANIC RITUAL 9. MELTING TO BONE 10. PLANT GORE/BONDAGE 11. BEHEADING 12. EXTREME/HEAVY HALLUCINATIONS (OVERDOSAGE) 13. VOMITING ORGANS 14. ANIMAL BURSTING THROUGH BODY 15. DEATH BY SIN (7 DEADLY SINS) 16. ALIEN ABDUCTION/EXPERIMENT 17. CANNIBALISM 18. GLITTER/CANDY/CUTIE/SWEET GORE 19. CHAINED AND DROWNING 20. CIRCUS FREAK/DAREDEVIL ACT ACCIDENT 21. EXCESS AMOUNT OF LARGE AND/OR GAPING PIERCINGS 22. SKELETON TEARING THROUGH/ESCAPING BODY 23. STARVATION 24. SPIDER/BUG PREY 25. GOUGED EYES, RIPPED OUT TONGUE AND EARS 26. NUCLEAR DEFORMITIES 27. MECHA GORE 28. BEING BURIED ALIVE 29. PAINFUL HALLOWEEN TRICK 30. HORROR MOVIE/TALE COME TO LIFE 31. FREE (END)
Hey kids! If you’re a filmmaker, animator, or storyboard artist and you don’t know what screen direction is, you might want to read this.
For the record, there are always exceptions to the rule in filmmaking, which is why I pointed out 3 examples here.
I’ve also found that comic books tend to NOT take screen direction as seriously as film does, but I’m still on the fence if this is wise or not. My favorite comics pay close attention to screen direction so as to not confuse the reader.
Good luck!
AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!! YES
always useful to keep a reminder handy, even if you know these rules. :)
Horses tend to confuse even professional artists (Magic the Gathering, i’m looking at you!) so here’s a basic explaination.
one of a few horse tips things to come.
“I like your art but I don’t think its worth the price you’re asking for”
“I could find an artist who draws better than you for cheaper”
“But I’m paying you, that means I get whatever I ask for”
“I’ll pay you when I’m ready”
“I don’t have money, but I’ll pay you in exposure”
“I expect you to read my mind for how I want this commission done, I will not communicate my vision to you at all and I will complain if ANYTHING is not how I pictured”
“Why do you ask for so much when all you’re doing is sitting on your ass and doodling on a computer”
“Quality means nothing, you’re just greedy”

Dos and don'ts on designing for accessibility
Karwai Pun, GOV.UK:
The dos and don’ts of designing for accessibility are general guidelines, best design practices for making services accessible in government. Currently, there are six different posters in the series that cater to users from these areas: low vision, D/deaf and hard of hearing, dyslexia, motor disabilities, users on the autistic spectrum and users of screen readers.
[…] Another aim of the posters is that they’re meant to be general guidance as opposed to being overly prescriptive. Using bright contrast was advised for some (such as those with low vision) although some users on the autistic spectrum would prefer differently. Where advice seems contradictory, it’s always worth testing your designs with users to find the right balance, making compromises that best suit the users’ needs.

Hey! To any artists who are having trouble with drawing heights of multiple characters together, this website is very useful and can help you! It can compare heights between two people, which helps me a lot with illustrating multiple OCs together. Hope this helps anyone! http://www.mrinitialman.com/OddsEnds/Sizes/sizes.html (If the link does not direct you to the website, please comment!)
Aaaa I'm so glad that this is getting a lot of notes! I truly hope this is helping anyone! I've also recently noticed that they have a different website that can compare up to six people! ( http://www.mrinitialman.com/OddsEnds/Sizes/compsizes.xhtml )

People who write/draw self-insert stuff are absolutely adorable and great and do not ever deserve to be shamed for that. I mean. Go and write a fic about your fave character falling in love with you. You’re amazing.
