The woman I want to be in the future.
My ideal self, like others, wishes to be successful in the future. I want to be a lady in my own right. I want to learn to stand on my own two feet, and like any other person, I want to succeed not only to help my parents but also to give them what they desire. I, too, want to live a happy life and have my own family, just like everyone else. When I was a young, my dream job was inconsistent. Sometimes I want to be a teacher, other times, I want to be a cashier, and the next day I want to be a chef. Honestly, I didn't know what I wanted to be when I was a kid. When asked what occupation I desired, I would reply anything, but I wasn't sure if it was what I wanted to be. As I become older and understand more about myself, I discover what I truly want to pursue. I want to work as a nurse. I didn't like nursing, but it was what my mother wanted me to do. But, in the end, I grew to appreciate nursing because I was impressed by their bravery and fortitude in facing tragedies to serve others in need, particularly during the COVID outbreak. Many nurses face discrimination because they are dealing with COVID, and many individuals are terrified of becoming infected. As a result, they occasionally have people who don't want to be around them because they are afraid of becoming infected. That is why I want to be a nurse even more.
Life consists of two days, one for you and one against you. So when it's for you don't be proud or reckless, and when it's against you be patient, for both days are test for you.
A START OF IT: 10 years of friendship.
" Girl with the curly hair"
My name is Ysnairah Gasi. I am 18 years old. I live with my dad, two siblings, and four cousins. We live in a small house inside our compound. I share a room with three people- my sister and three cousins. I'm writing this to share the most unforgettable event in my life when I was a kid and how it changed my life. It happened when I was about eight years old. My dad met this friend of his at the place where he works. They were also Maguindanaon and used to live near where we used to live in Cotabato. My dad and my mom took us to visit them. She was a lovely and kind woman who always smiled. While I was at their house, her kid had this coloring book, and I was mesmerized by it. Since I was always curious to try it, I quickly took it and started to color. While I was working on it, there was this little girl with cute curly hair who keep sending me a glare while whispering to her sister. I did not mind her and continued doing what I was doing. After I had finished, she quickly took it and hid it. I was so shocked by what she did that I quickly ran to my mother. Her mother saw what she did, so she made her apologize to me. After that incident, she was rude to me, and me being me. I did not mind her little attitude towards me, and I kept bugging her to be my friend until I found out her secret. It was her biggest insecurity, and she thought I would make fun of her, but instead, I was so mesmerized by it. I was so delighted that I showed her a positive reaction about something she had been insecure about all her life because that made her trust me, and she began to open up more about herself. That positive reaction made our friendship. After all those years, that cute little girl with curly hair was still close to me, and I have been friends with her for almost 11 years. She knows me better than I know myself and like-wise. I decided to share this because my one and only friend, who knows me the most, is important to me. She made a massive impact on my life; she was the one who taught me not to mind what other people would think and say to me because I knew myself better than they did. I owned her my social life, and besides my family, she was the one who made me who I am today.
