The morning reader found out she was pregnant, there was a lot of tears. First, the ones she shed as she sat on the cold tiles and called her mum, worried about what Morgan might say.

Then it was like a chain reaction, her mother cried on the phone and told her not to worry, he will love her no matter what.

And she was right.

Morgan sobbed as he held his girlfriend in his arms, while reader was still crying but now in the bed.

They had decided to wait a little while before telling anyone, just to go to a scan and make sure nothing happens while it is all early on.

Now nearly a month later they had decided it was the day that everyone got to know. Luckily, they were all going out to dinner, as they did once a month.

Then tomorrow the Sidemen and their wives were flying in for a video with the boys, where reader and Morgan will tell her best friends, Talia, Freya and Faith.

But before anything it was a need that they had to tell Chazza and Katie.

The two had been around since the beginning, and honestly were the reason reader and Morgan had the life they did. They definitely deserved to be the first people to know. But the most important thing was, that they were gonna be the godparents!

“Charlie! Katie!” Morgan yelled out from his bedroom, after hearing Heinz, Tays and Jakey leave the house.

Chaz was quick to respond, “What?”

“Come ‘ere.” The red-head added.

Soon a series of footsteps padded down the step and into the vicinity of the couples room. “What’s up?” Chazza asked, poking his head in the door to look at the two of them sitting on the bed.

“Come in.” Reader replied, as the two blondes fully entered the room.

“I feel like I’m in trouble, what’s wrong?” Katie giggled sticking close by her boyfriend’s side.

Morgan just chuckled and motioned for them to sit down. So as the two sat on the end of the bed, reader pulled out two cardboard boxes.

“We bought everyone one, but yours is a little different, so we’re gonna give you yours early.” Reader added, passing the boxes over to them.

“I’m scared.” Katie said honestly.

“Just open it.” Morgan replied as Chazza opened his box with ease, pulling the black t-shirt out instantly. Reading the white writing, ‘Godfather To Be’.

Chazza stared at it for a moment while Katie lifted her identical shirt out, the only difference being that hers said ‘Godmother’ instead of ‘Godfather’. “What?” Charlie smiled, standing up off the bed.

“You’re having a baby!” Katie exclaimed standing up beside her boyfriend.

The tears began to prick reader’s eyes as she saw her best friends so happy about something. Before anyone could say anything more Chazza went straight to Ginge and pulled him up, hugging him as right as he could.

“I love you, man.” Charlie says wholeheartedly.

“I love you too, Chaz.”

Later that night all the girls wore simple dresses and the guys wore dress pants and hoodies. But on the drive over reader could help but shiver and shake.

It was a little awkward walking in with six small cardboard boxes with a bunch of names on them, and the stares they got from it was a little scaring. Making every hormone in her body wanted to fall apart and cry ridiculously. Even when Morgan stood by her side telling her that it’d be okay.

“What’s this?” Heather asked, from beside Tays and Ellie.

Cara was luckily in town too, which was quite rare. She sat right beside reader, with Heinz and Jakey beside her. Right next to Ginge was Chazza with Katie sitting on his other side, both holding back the biggest smiles of their lives.

“Okay we bought you guys some early Christmas presents.” Reader spoke. “But don’t open them until everyone has one.”

“The only reason Chazza and Katie aren’t getting one is because they got theres earlier, but it’s the exact same as yours.” Morgan explained handing the boxes out to each of the boys and their girlfriends.

“What did you get?” Tays whispered quite loudly while leaning over to Katie and Chazza.

“Just wait your turn, man.” Charlie responded to the blue eyed boy.

Once they had all been given their boxes Jakey was first to speak up. “So can we open them?” He asked, while reader pulled out her phone and began to record.

“Yep.” She said as everyone opened their boxes in command.

Heinz was the first to jump out of his seat with a very excited squeal, closely followed by Heather, who was holding her t-shirt like a lifeline.

The shirts were the same as Chazza and Katie’s but instead had ‘Uncle To Be’ and ‘Auntie To Be’ written on them.

“You’re pregnant!?” Tays stammered, with his girlfriend plummeting towards reader and tackling her in the biggest hug of her life. Cara soon coming to join the hug.

“Im gonna be an uncle!!” Heinz celebrated jumping around the table to Morgan. Jakey coming to follow him.

Soon the whole table was standing up hugging Morgan and reader.

“Hi babes, welcome back to my channel.” Reader greeted smiling up to her camera. “Today we’re here with the only and only Alfie Buttle.”

“Hi guys.” He said bluntly while waving.

“So after too fucking many people saying that we’re together, we decided to film a video while doing random couple things. Well really we’re just going to Costco to do my monthly shop, and I needed someone to lift the heavy things for me.”

“So basically I’m her slave.” AB smiled cheekily.

“This is why people think we’re together!” She exclaimed.

He continued to grin, “Then let ‘em.”

“Oh my god!” She chuckled turning the camera off and heading towards the shopping trolleys.

As they walked in the door, she quickly tapped her membership card and continued through, with AB close in tow while he pushed the cart.

“What do you need to get?” He asked, as they approached the tech area towards the front of the store.

“Um, a carton of Lemonade cans, quite a bit a fruit and vegetables, some pastry and cooking shit, and also some presents for my nephews birthday.” She listed.

“Your buying presents from Costco?” He scoffed.

She was quite to snap her neck and look at him. “Yeah what’s wrong with that, they’ve got Lego and remote control cars so that’s what I’ll get him.”

“How old is he turning?”

“Nine.”

“Okay, well that makes sense.”

Soon reader pulled out the camera and held it in front of her and AB. “Okay, so first we’re heading to the toys section, so I can pick up some toys for Ollie’s birthday.”

When they finally got there, she looked around for a moment. “Get him this.” He spoke pointing to a one of the Fast and Furious car legos.

“He’s already got it.” She responded, looking just below to one of Paul Walkers other cars from the series. “What about this one?”

“Yeah, I reckon he’ll like that.” Alfie added, letting her place it in the trolley.

“What else should I get him?” She asked looking at the overload of boys cars and some random Marvel shit.

“I don’t know.”

“But you’re a boy!”

“You’re his Auntie!”

“Okay fair enough, how about I just grab him another Lego and pick him up some shoes later?” She responded, before looking dead on into the camera. “Guys I think that’s a solid plan.”

“Yeah it’s better than just buying him shit from Costco.” AB rolled his eyes.

“Shut up.” She groaned.

After grabbing the presents, they moved to the snacks isle to get a bunch of random shit like pop tarts and mini oreos. With him dancing in an isle with barely anyone there.

“Have you ever seen the perks of a wallflower?” AB asked as he began to dance.

“Are you talking about the living room routine?”

“Yeah I think I could pull it off.” He said jumping around with his arms and legs.

“I think you could too.” She giggled, while they started to head towards the fruit section.

But just before they were fully out of the snacks isle Alfie saw something out of the corner of his eye, a massive bag of yorkies. “I love yorkies.” He states before walking past them like nothing happened.

“Then grab them.” She replied bluntly.

“No.” He snapped at her. “I don’t have a membership.”

“I’ll pay.” She responded quite sarcastically, relaying that it was the idea the whole time.

“No the fuck you wont.” He growled and started walking straight away from the girl, but not before she could grab the bag and throw it in the cart. “Put ‘em back.”

“No, they’re for me now.” She rolled her eyes and turned the camera back on. “We’re heading to the fruit and veg area now, because I need to get some food for my fridge.”

Once they got there, reader was quick to grab four bunches of bananas which were cheaper than one at the corner store. She also grabbed an abundance green apples, celery, carrots, lettuce, tomatoes and every berry you can think of.

“You eat a lot of fruit.” He raised his eyebrows looking down at the overly large amounts of produce in the trolley in front of him.

“You seem pretty judgemental for something so good.” She snapped back as she kept the camera pointed at the two of them.

“Hey you’re talking to a gym god right now, and I don’t think I’ve eaten so much fruit in my life.”

“A gym god is crazy.” She laughed at him. “We don’t need much else from here I don’t think.”

“Yeah well I don’t think you would need it.” He spoke sarcastically.

Shortly after they had all the food she would need for the next month and a half while filming funny little bits her and there, now with all left to get was a few cartons of drinks for her drink fridge. Obviously, she was gonna make AB do all the lifting.

“Guys, we’re doing the last thing for today, grabbing all my drinks for the fridge. So, Tays said I need to get more monsters, red bull, lemonade, solo and cola. But I’ll also buy some more Vs cause I know I need more.” She said into the camera while reading the message from Mikey off her phone.

When they approached the isle she looked into the camera again.

“Obviously, I’m gonna make my boyfriend lift them all onto the trolley.” She added sarcastically, making him roll his eyes dramatically.

“Which ones?” He asked stepping out to where the energy drinks were.

“Twenty-four pack for monsters, red bull and V, and a thirty pack for solo, lemonade and cola.” She replied filming him as he lifted each of the pallets.

After three cartons he started complaining, “Are you throwing a party or something?”

“We it ain’t easy when you have Tays and Heinz at your house twenty four seven eating all your food.” She chuckled watching as he moved to the other side for the soda.

“Are we done after this?” He asked quite desperately.

“Yep.” She said softly.

After checking out he helped load everything in the car then hopped in the front seat beside her.

“So guys that’s basically the video, we’re just gonna go home and force Heinz to help us put all this food away. Alfie, you got anything to say?” She spoke.

“I am never coming shopping with you again.” He groaned sarcastically, making her smile at roll her eyes playfully.

“Bye babes, love ya.” She did her outro, waving to the camera making him wave too.

After maybe two seconds, the two of them looked at each other. “I can’t say that was too bad, well since the last time I went proper grocery shopping was with my mum.” He chuckled.

“You need to get your life together.” Reader joked.

Once the paramedics got there, it was like Morgan had been torn away from reader. They pried her out of the car and lifted her up onto the stretcher, putting a mound of padding and straps around her leg and another dressing around her arm.

She laid there looking over to see his red hair, his eyes never leaving her body. But it wasn’t until the paramedic asked if he wanted to ride in the ambulance with her that he actually seemed alright.

His had came to caress hers.

“You okay?” He asked looking into her eyes as the vehicle began to move along the road.

She stared at him for a little longer, seeping into his beautiful blue eyes. “I think so…”

After arriving at the hospital, reader was rushed into surgery immediately. They saw that her knee cap had fully shattered, and if it didn’t have immediate repair it may not heal fully.

Morgan didn’t leave he sat on a chair outside the operating room, well as close as you could be to the operating room. After sitting there for a moment with a few tears welling in his eyes he decided there was a quite a few texts that needed to be sent.

Then he just sat there after feeling his phone buzz a few times, he just soaked isnt the silence, ignoring the bustle of doctors and nurses. Soon enough he dozed off, and his head hit his shoulder.

But that lasted a maximum of two minutes, as his phone began to ring from his lap.

He saw the name and answered it immediately.

“Hey mate, I just read your message. I’m gonna get Katie to take me to get your car, but what’s going on?” Charlie asked through the speaker.

“Me and her got in a fight, Chaz.” Morgan spoke his tears filling with eyes and his voice cracking. “Her legs proper messed up, but she’s in surgery now. I don’t know what to do, like I don’t know if I can stay here with her tonight because I want to.”

“Okay Katie’s just pulled up, so I’ll come grab the keys from you. You just at Cheshire Base?” The boy spoke calmly.

“Yeah.”

“Alright where abouts are you? Like what floor?” The boy wondered.

“Floor 5 just outside the operating rooms, write it down so you don’t forget it.” The red-head spoke.

“Okay I’ll see you in a minute.”

Then when Chazza hung up the phone, Ginge read through his messages.

That was typical of readers family, they never showed up for her even when she spent everyday showing up for them.

Then there was her real family.

Nana Julie hadn’t got back to him yet, but she barely knew how to work her phone as is.

It wasn’t long till Chazza and Katie walked into the hallway, which made Morgan stand up immediately. Charlie wrapped his arms around him, letting the red-head burry his head into his shoulder.

Chazza knew Morgan was blaming himself, he knew Morgan better than Morgan knew himself.

But that’s why he let him cry onto his shoulder.

Hours had passed since reader had first been admitted, but as she finally opened her eyes after extremely high does of anaesthesia and pain medication.

She looked around the room, seeing Chazza and Katie asleep in the corner on a small armchair. A soft white blanket cover the two of them.

Then that familiar red hair came into her sight. His sight set on his phone with a cord that led down the side of his leather armchair.

“Morgan…”

He head snapped quicker than ever. “Hey baby, how’re you feeling?” He asked softly rubbing his eyes slightly before grabbing her hand.

“How long was I asleep?” She pondered, making him glance down at his phone on his lap.

“Well it’s 5 in the morning, so like eight hours I think.” He yawned. “Your mum said to keep her updated, and Faith’s worried.”

“Shes always worried.” Reader chuckled, making tears begin to well in his eyes.

“I missed your smile.” He stated. “I’m so sorry for fighting with you, I love you too much. I promise I will actually listen to you, okay?”

“Okay.” She smiled. “Aren’t you supposed to be going to London in like two hours.”

“Honey I canceled that four hours ago, I can’t leave you.”

With that her little heart thumped inside her chest. He really cared about her, she never doubted it for a second, but in this moment she really saw how much he truely loves her. He really really loves her.

“I love you so much, Morgan Burtwistle.”

“I love you more, reader.”

At about seven am a doctor came into the room, explaining to her that she would have to spend the next week in the hospital and then she would have to spend another two months in a metal brace that will stabilise her leg.

They offered to set up an extra cot for her, so she had space for one person to sleep in the room with her a night.

Being with Ginge was everything reader ever wanted. He cuddle her at night, bought her pretty jewellery and nice dinners. Her family loved him and his loved her. They had only been together 8 months but they were perfect in everyone’s eyes.

But lately that couldn’t be more wrong.

First it started off as a little argument about him going to London for two weeks with his mate. Which reader had officially apologised for after about thirty minutes of lying in his bed.

Then they had a big fight about three days later, all because reader couldn’t go to the party Ginge wanted to. He then yelled at her about how shes always being unreasonable with him and needs to actually try and commit to their relationship.

Her being her, she yelled back immediately explaining that she is really trying but she can’t do everything he wants her to.

That’s when she walked out, before they could say something they didn’t mean.

She spent three days at home, sleeping alone for the first time in six months. Still even though she was mad, she still was Morgan’s girlfriend.

By her third day at home, she couldn’t sleep by herself anymore. That’s why she ran back to him, and ended up at his front door.

She knew that if he didn’t go to his house now, she wouldn’t get to see him until after he gets back, and reader physically couldn’t let him be five hours away and angry at her.

When she walked up to his front door she unlocked it and walked inside, walking straight upstairs to his streaming room where she knows he was because her phone had gotten the notification. But instead of walking straight in, she decided to turn around and walked into his bedroom.

About two hours later Morgan walked into the bedroom.

“Hey…” He trailed on while closing the door behind him.

“Hi.” She spoke quietly. “I’m sorry for being a bitch.”

“Reader thats not what I’m worried about… I just don’t know how to make this work when you can’t step up and do things with me.” He explained.

“The only thing I said I couldn’t do is go to the party, because I’m going to out with Freya that night. But you leave tomorrow for two weeks, and I can genuinely say the only reason I didn’t want you to go is because I’m gonna miss you.” She responded, her heart beating faster.

“It’s not just that, like you couldn’t even help set up for Chazza’s birthday-”

“My sister was sick, Morgan!”

“Can we just leave this till I get back from London, I can’t do this right now.” He sighed rubbing his head and leaning against his set of drawers.

A little pang hit readers chest, “No because I don’t want to spend two weeks knowing that your mad at me while your across the country.”

“I think we need to take a break, reader!” He snapped, making the waterworks come immediately. “We just need space and we can sort it out in two weeks, okay?”

She just nodded and grabbed her phone, slipping on her crocs which sat next to her bed. But before she could walk away she muttered out a small comment. “I’m sorry…”

And then she was gone.

Walking out to her car and exiting the driveway. She felt the tears pelting down her cheeks as ‘Count On You’ by Tink played through her CarPlay.

Then there was lights.

A loud sound.

A sickening feeling.

And the worst possible pain.

Reader felt her car crumple around her, the door caving in and pushing her against the middle console. Her car moved a hundred meters across the road a loud series of tires screeching.

Glass filled her seat and dove into the skin on her arm.

It took a few moments for her to see what was going on, there was at least three other cars in a similar condition to hers, but she couldn’t focus on that.

All she could do was cry from the immense pain that shot up her leg and made her scream in agony.

The cut on her arm made her tears heavier.

Then she reached for the closest thing she could, her phone.

She didn’t care if he didn’t pick up, in her heart she just had to try. Reader tapped the contact ‘my husband🤍’ and let it ring, praying to every god that he would answer.

And luckily those gods delivered.

“You just left.” Ginge’s voice came through the speaker.

“M-Morgan I ne-need you…”

That’s when the worry rushed over him. He had known her for nearly a year, and had been her boyfriend for 8 months, he had slept beside her for six of those months. He knew this wasn’t just her running back to him, something was wrong.

“Reader what’s going on? Where are you?” He wondered, his voice picking up slightly as he stood up and slid on his shoes.

“I got-t in a ca-car crash.” She sobbed as her tears continued to fall. “I was driving back to my place.”

He had practically ran to his car, and sped to get out of the driveway. “Okay, baby. Has the ambulance been called yet?” He spoke trying to sound as calm as he possibly could.

“I don’t know.” She sputtered.

“Okay, I’m on my way, love… I’m so fucking sorry, sweetheart.” He much softer with obvious sadness lacing his tone.

As he continued to drive their phones stayed connected, but before he got near her he saw the red and blue lights.

Morgan saw her car sitting pressed against a guard rail, with another car only about ten meters away. A tall slim man stood outside that car, but Ginge couldn’t care less about him. So with ease he parked his car in a safe spot and sprinted over to her blue Mercedes.

He couldn’t have opened her door, so instead placed her face in his hands.

“Morgan, I love you.” She spoke out her eyes prying to stay open.

Nineteen-year-old reader laid sprawled-out across her couch, listening to her siblings argue about Mario Kart. Soon her phone buzzed from under her forearm, showing a Snapchat notification.

‘Ginge13 has added you’

At first she ignored it, giving it no thought to why a random red-headed man would be adding her.

Hours later, as she scrolled on instagram a wave of curiosity washed over her. What’s the worst that could happen?

Not long after he sent a blurry photo of his gaming set up, with the signature Snapchat writing over the top:

Reader snickers and replies as quickly as she could, with a photo of her brother fast asleep with the TV playing a random scene from Over The Hedge. Somehow, this came their thing.

For two weeks, they only send snaps. Random moments. Even if there was no writing over the top, it was still something.

His late-night McDonald’s runs, her long days at work where she barely did anything, even videos of his friends laughing and playing games.

She always looked forward to his purple snaps even if it meant having to wait an hour to be able to listen to them. Most the time he would be complaining about his games or telling her that he’s streaming, but no matter what she liked it.

Everything was always a little off because of the time difference between Australia and England, but honestly she didn’t mind.

One night she snapped a thunderstorm outside her window with the caption:

He replied instantly with a picture of his window, thick grey clouds looming over the house, labeled with:

Her personal favourite night, was when he snapped her a photo of him in a very unstylish hat.

She quickly saved the snap in chat and replied with her face screwed up, with the caption of:

The strange part was how easy it all felt.

Reader had spoken to guys before. Plenty.

But most conversations felt forced eventually. Like everyone was trying too hard to impress each other.

This didn’t.

Morgan never acted like some internet personality. He was just funny. Stupidly funny sometimes. And weirdly attentive in ways she didn’t expect.

The names of her siblings. That she hated thunderstorms unless she was inside. That she wanted to visit Greece one day.

And reader found herself noticing things too.

How he always stayed up ridiculously late.How much he loved his friends. How he complained constantly but would still help anyone immediately.

Nearly a month after adding each other, reader went out clubbing with her sister and some friends.

By midnight she was definitely drunk. Not blackout drunk, but drunk enough to think dancing on a sticky platform in heels was somehow a fantastic idea. The club lights flashed violently overhead while music pounded through the floor.

“YOUR SISTER IS TALKING TO THOSE GUYS AGAIN,” Harper, her friend, shouted over the music.

Reader followed her gaze and groaned dramatically.

“OH MY GOD.”

Her older sister Ava stood near the bar laughing with three random men.

“She literally falls in love every weekend,” reader said.

“Last week she asked a bartender if soulmates were real.”

“That was after six vodkas.”

“That actually makes it worse.”

Harper burst out laughing.

Around one-thirty in the morning, reader collapsed dramatically into the backseat of an Uber alone while Harper stayed behind with friends.

The city lights blurred past outside the windows.

Her feet hurt and her head spun slightly.

Then her phone buzzed.
