In the good omens Fandom I tend to see people hate on aziraphale for leaving but they ignore the detail of WHY he left. Not only did he go to heaven because he originally only wanted to go to give Crowley another chance (a misunderstanding on his side) but because his plans to fix things are based off of Crowley. Throughout the show, Crowley teaches aziraphale empathy and the perspective of a gray world. Aziraphale sees people and wants to give them a chance by changing things. He does this because he knows it's right and it's something he believes Crowley would do. But the thing is... Crowley isn't exactly enthusiastic about it.. and it stumps aziraphale. He isn't sure why Crowley would want to leave everything behind after all they've done to keep earth and give people a chance. But, Crowley is caught up in his feelings and fails to notice the underlying reason behinds the angels actions. Which you know how that ends. Aziraphale ends up "leaving" Crowley to fix things because he knows its something the both of them, deep down, want. And that Crowley will always come back for him. I also have a small quote I want to rant about that aziraphale says, but I'll rant again later.
