Put this in the notes of that post but honestly one of my best ADHD hacks is meal prep kits. I could never properly grocery shop or remember to use food or would just not be able to cook and wasted a lot of food (as we do).

Choosing three/four meals a week on that thing means positioned, fresh veg and meat I use up for each one. And I use the extra days of gaps for those days I can’t bring myself to cook (and get dinner with my bestie once a week). The kits come in a variety but I tend to lean to my really easy favourites that take 25-30 minutes to make.

It’s been one the most effective thing I’ve done to combat this stuff. Its more expensive then grocery shopping and stretching out say a bag of potatoes but I waste nothing almost. I don’t have to go to the store (and avoid the impulsive buys there). I can whip up dinner in no time and everything is portioned up and almost ready to be cooked so I don’t have to get overwhelmed with prep. Honestly I’ll never go back.

#it also feeds two of us so if I was alone it with leftovers it would stretch the week

Hope my vet isn’t offended I’m getting a dental exam and quote from someone else. I didn’t think they’d even know unless I told them but my bestie’s clinic needed to get her records. Makes sense just didn’t think of it, so now they’ll know.

Look I’ve been loyal and happy with her care up until this point. Six years. I’ve even been okay with her annual exams being a bit more than other people I know’s clinics, because I like the vet I see.

But the estimate they sent me was absurdly expensive compared to what others told me their pet’s dental work was and what looking around before I got the email said to expect. I feel like im betraying them. But I have to know if others are less expensive.

#someone I know thinks it might be so high because my usual clinic is technically a hospital. dunno if that’s true #but like it’s literally like $1000 more then the quote my friend got for her dog who needed multiple teeth pulled…#my cat needs one pulled from what the vet said at her vaccine/annual exam
