Q. Who is Indil and who is Cheryl Le Fey?

A. Indil is the AI generated vocalist who voices the songs. Cheryl Le Fey is me – the original writer and producer of the songs. You can find my profile on Facebook.

Q. How do you make your music?

A. I write original poetry, then use AI-supported music software to craft the sound and instruments I desire. The software can be used as just an AI generator, but it can also be used very intricately and customizably, where you sing/play to it and it copies your melody, and you describe exactly what sound you want. With that, you can create the music personally, and choose the instruments like with a synthesizer. You can specify the BPM, the key, and much more. It’s called Suno.

Q. Don’t you think it’s unethical to use AI technology?

A. I do agree that AI technology is harmful to the environment and can be used for evil. But I use it only to assist me to create music for my original poetry, and try to limit my reliance on it. I also recycle, have reduced my meat consumption drastically (since the meat industry is one of the biggest dangers to the environment), donate to charity on a regular basis, don’t own a car, and try to do good in the world. I believe that it’s the global mismanagement of resources and funds that is the true evil.
