CHANGE OF READ: I found this thick book at the academic library I work at: The Collected Autobiographies of Maya Angelou (2004). So I returned the copy of Caged Bird back to my local public library. This book includes the following:

Angelou's final autobiography, Mom & Me & Mom (2013), obviously hadn't been released when this book came out, so once I get there, I'll seek it out separately.

Bruno series by Martin Walker

I recently picked up The Dark Vineyard by Martin Walker from my local public library. It's the sequel to Bruno, Chief of Police. The series follows the happenings in this little rural village in the southwest of France, from the perspective of its chief of police, Benoît "Bruno" Courrèges. I enjoyed the first book, so I might continue reading this series all the way through. There are 18 novels and a handful of short stories set in the "Bruno-verse."

Mango Languages app

I recently found out that one of the larger city libraries nearby offers Mango Languages free access for their digital-only patrons, and a library card for them is available to anyone in the whole state.

I've never used that particular app before, but I thought I'd give it a go, since it's free thru that library.

I may write a longer post later so I can nerd out on language learning apps, but for now, I'm cheerfully getting back into Spanish!

Maine's Hail to the Chief by Mac Smith (pub. 2021) - 3% read I got to meet the author at a recent book event. Purchased this book from him and got it autographed. I'm a huge history buff, and I love U.S. presidential trivia.

Angle of Repose by Wallace Stegner (pub. 1972) - 57% read This is a slow-burner, historical fiction novel. I'm powering through it, and it was kinda dull at the beginning, but it seems to be picking up a bit now.

The Rhesus Chart by Charles Stross (Laundry Files #5, pub. 2014) - 18% read I've been working through the Laundry Files series, and it's been a great time! This one involves vampires.

A Man Called Ove by Fredrik Backman (pub. 2012) - 57% read Another slow-burner. Trying my best to get through the whole thing.
