my #love for #studioghibli knows no bounds. finally finished my latest wip!

video available on #youtube. this year i was very lucky to have my #shortfilm, she is the fire, screen at the campfire convention. the dance reference footage was filmed during one of the #motioncapture shoots i worked on as a technician. if you enjoy #poetry and #animation, why not check it out?

- making the opening credits.  - modelling the short hunter, terrain and tree leaves. - texturing character models. - recording, cleaning and retargeting mocap data for the hunters running and final gun point. - animating wisp eye reveal and hunter watching wisp rise. - post-production editing, colour grading and sound.

i'm not sure why i keep drawing this character. maybe i'll use them for an animation in the future...

my first attempt at using unreal engine's metahuman model in maya, starting with a handkey animation.

in the live action segment, the audience is offered a glimpse of wren and michael's friendship and his eventual demise that lead to that one fateful call...
