i fear we’re losing the plot bc someone just told me that a gif of krypto was ai (it was literally just a scene from the movie + CGI and motion capture is NOT ai vro,,)
This is not me being a pure hater I swear, but it’s funny that Studio Killers has always given us weirdly rigged motion captured mouths the two times they’ve featured mocap. (I know the most recent one was done by a different artist but still)
At the time the type of motion capture they used for the concert was new technology they got their hands on, and it ended up being bought by Apple apparently.
I hope they don’t stop using mocap because I think it could be the key to actually cutting costs without using AI. But someone has to be commissioned to make and rig the model properly. Then that model can be reused if need be.
