[Favorite storyline?]

I really enjoyed a lot of the Dawn of the Clans stuff that was related to the “founding the clans” type deal. Like the border outlining, figuring out what to put in the code, all the messy drama related to forming separate Clans and the like! It was just so interesting compared to the rest of the topics previously covered in the series, and I absolutely adored it!

[Most underrated death?]

I’ve got a couple!

- Featherwhisker working himself to death as previously mentioned

- Ferncloud dying protecting her kittens THATS SO SAD?!

- Redwillow getting killed by Blackstar for being a traitor was SO DRAMATIC AND COOL and no one talks about it??

- Jackdaw’s Cry and Falling Feather killing eachother at the same time even though they were siblings and didn’t want to is so dark and awful, and although it’s one of the coolest deaths people don’t talk abt it ://

I hate to say it, but Graystripe is kind of Not A Good Person. He makes a lot of really poor choices that hurt a lot of people, and overall is treated a lot better by the fandom than he very well should be. I think some YouTuber called him out for this (it was probably Moonkitti?? I dunno) but regardless of how he was in the first few books he still made a Lot More Bad Decisions. Also he just wasn’t all that interesting to me I dunno.

Ooooh anon, I am SO glad you asked!!

Ivypool was excellent friends with many of the Dark Forest trainees, but she was especially close with many of those around her age. I like to think that she had kind of an older-sister bond with Hollowflight, too! [theres this one scene where she teaches him a battle move with sheathed claws and- my heart 🥺🥺]

Ahem. Anyways, I like to think that her best friend among the Dark Forest cats was Antpelt. Not only would this make the following scenes horrifyingly sad, but this would make sense considering they trained together often and Antpelt even died the first time because he refused to hit Ivypool while she was down! She was also the one who sent him to sleep as fast as possible so Hawkfrost wouldn’t hurt him more, and when Dovewing was talking about how Antpelt was hurt she was super worried!

[Most annoying storyline?]

Do you remember that time when they walked somewhere for no reason and then walked back? Yeah, me neither. That’s why all of them suck.

[Share a headcanon for a storyline?]

There is no singular way that there wasn’t a TON of forbidden romances along the trail to the lake territories. I like to HC that any kits born shortly after that trip or around the time when it happened were definitely from flings. That would also add to the gene pool a bit too, so no huge loss!!

[Least favorite romance?]

Dovewing and Tigerheart could have been cute but they were screwed up by the bookwriting and by having Bumblestripe be an option (?!)

But if you’re looking for a more Hot Take™️ I also don’t really like Yellowfang and Raggedpelt because it was kind of toxic [i don’t hear many people talking about it though??]

ShadowClan, just because they keep inviting dictators into their house!! Seriously, what is up with these cats?! “Oh yes, Tigerstar and Sol and Darktail are totally great, let’s let them lead our clan/into our camp/live on our territory” ???

(I was this close to saying ThunderClan though haha)

1. Firestar and Sandstorm

Cute cute cute!! OG ship, I love them, perfect genius amazing!

2. Breezepelt and Heathertail

Listen... I know.. I’m just a huge sucker for the fact that Breezepelt tried to redeem himself for her, and that they both became loving parents BC honestly?? I love trash man Breezepelt so much and I know they totally did a 180 on his arc but him ending up as a dad trying to do the best for his kids is just 🥺🥺

3. Alderheart and Needletail

Which wasn’t canon but it would’ve been super cute!! Would have also been the first time we’d had a male medicine cat breaking the code for romance (jay and half moon don’t count) but noo only the girls get to make bad decisions :/

4. Rootpaw/Bristlefrost OR Rootpaw/Shadowsight

There’s no way they would do Root/Shadow in warriors UNFORTUNATELY but I find that both of those ships have a really similar and excellent dynamic!! That being rowdy boy + a partner who is done with his crap [I feel like Shadowsight would be nicer about it but Bristlefrost would call him out haha]

5. Gray Wing and Turtle Tail

1. Loudbelly

I just.... hate it. I’m so sorry. Imagine having this name for the rest of your life.

2. Ratscar

Just.... ugly. Ew. Gross rat man.

3. Spiderleg

“Leg” is just such a gross suffix, regardless of how it’s used! Northflower’s MAP about him was hilarious though, gotta admit.

4. Foxheart

It would be a pretty name if it wasn’t a downright insult! That’s like naming your kid Bitch. Which, granted, she was a bitch, but that’s kind of rude.

5. Twigbranch

It’s not terrible, just redundant, but this is a main character! You think they’d put a bit more thought into it :/

[most underrated medicine cat?]

Pretty much anyone who’s not from main series ThunderClan haha, I’m a huge fan of Kestrelflight, Willowshine, and Pebble Heart, but the one who’s the most underrated in my opinion is probably Featherwhisker! The poor boy worked himself to death, that’s really admirable - even if it’s not healthy.

[Most underrated romance?]

Ooh, that’s hard! A lot of warrior cats romances are poorly written and just as poorly received, but honestly I think FireSand is a little bit slept on? It’s definitely my favorite non crack-ship WC pairing [besides maybe Alderheart and Needletail but that wasn’t canon] and they both respect/care for eachother immensely! Unfortunately, it’s kind of overshadowed by Spottedleaf being weirdly obsessed with Firestar and the Erins retconning random characters to have crushes on Firestar. Still, it’s the OG ship and I find it really adorable!
