Just popping in on this blog to say I am baffled by people on tumblr claiming that fans of house stark should be fans of team green, like 1) Cregan Stark bent the knee to Rhaenyra's claim and stayed loyal to that claim even after her death ergo House Stark (GRRM's favourite major house lbr) is Team Black, and 2) Team Green literally stands for everything the Starks are against: oathbreaking, kinslaying, whether accidental and then intentional in the show, or always intentional in the books (we are ignoring Jon performing oathbreaking AND kinslaying by killing Daenerys in S8, they replaced my boy with a clone), and just, intense misogyny (listen. I love the Team Green messed up doomed gothic family and generational trauma. I can love them while acknowledging their entire claim rests on misogyny and the paranoia distilled from men like Otto Hightower that Rhaenyra would murder her half-siblings once the crown was on her head, despite all evidence to the contrary, and do you really think our girl Arya Stark would've been cool with that if she met them. Be serious.).
The general craziness of the way fans were acting - as someone who loves the Stark fam and loves Daenerys and wants to see her on the Throne (because Daenerys, like Rhaenyra, is not a threat to the Starks except by the hand of bad writing) - was what really turned me off this blog. Sad to see that this has not changed and the GOT/ASOIAF/HOTD fandom remains so hostile and intense. Anyways this blog remains dormant unless TWoW gets published but know in my heart there are Cregan Stark incorrect quotes out there.
