Inception 30 Day Challenge (@inception30daychallenge)
The inception 30 Day Challenge is a set of 30+ questions and prompts about Inception, its characters, and you! They're meant to inspire some reflection and creativity about Inception, whether it be through a simple text post, art, music, recs - anything goes! And there will be prizes! Keep an eye on the event blog for the full list of questions to be released before July 1!
Arthur/Eames Last Drabble Writer Standing (@aeldws)
Signups will be open June 19 to 25 or until all 10 slots are filled.
A weekly elimination drabble challenge where all works must fit a given prompt and feature Arthur/Eames as the main pairing. This year's AELDWS will run for six weeks, starting June 26, with a maximum of 10 participants. Prompts are posted on the @aeldws blog Friday at 1AM EDT and drabbles are due Tuesday at 1PM EDT. Voting will take place Tuesday night through Thursday night.

day 9: what part would you play in a dreamshare team?
I wish I could say forger with full confidence but I don’t know if I have it to be one!!! I am often not myself or a quite changed version of myself in dreams yeah but do i have what it takes to do it conciously, precisely, and also convincingly enough for a high stakes project??? I don’t think so…
Pivoting to what my roles have been in group projects… I think I’d be a point turned extractor. I would start off as a point learning the ins and outs of dreamshare but start taking more responsibilities in planning later.
I WOULD SOOOOO PRACTICE FORGING ON THE SIDE THOUGH SHAPESHIFTING?????? SIGN ME UP?????
This question also is kind of which film crew member would you be on a movie set… the dynamics ARE pretty similar like that one analysis of inception
8. If the roles in the movie were swapped, who would be who?Â
I think Saito and Cobb could easily switch places. Saito definitely has the confidence and charisma to be an extractor. He’s also unhinged enough to come up with foolhardy ideas that end up working brilliantly. At the same time, it’s very in character for Cobb to thwart everyone’s plans by suddenly insisting on coming along to the dream. But like Saito he’d turn out to be a surprisingly competent tourist.
Arthur would make a decent architect - we’ve seen he can build and I think a lot of people (me included) headcanon that he’s perfectly good at it just doesn’t have the same brilliance as Ariadne or Cobb. But I think he’d be a great chemist. He’s very meticulous and organised. Plus, he’s patient enough have the compound tested on him several times. I think he’d do just as well with the scientific research and experiments as he fulfils his point man role.
Ariadne would make a good point man. She’s competent, structured, a good improviser and works well under pressure. She’s also very nosy which is a good quality to have when you’re responsible for doing background checks and keeping your team safe.
Eames could also be an architect. He’s inventive and has an eye for details (adding the air vents on level 3 was his idea if I remember correctly). Having a good read on people is also an important skill when you are designing environments that are supposed to have particular effects on them. He’d be a good extractor for the same reasons.
I think there is a chance that Yusuf would make a good forger. He’s good at keeping secrets, he watches the dynamic of the team and he’s even better at appearing trustworthy which is a good feeling to evoke in your marks especially if you’re playing someone familiar to them.

Initially I imagined he would carry a test tube made of crystal/glass in the real world/dreamscape, but leaned more towards the centrifuge tube. The lil thing that scientists usually tuck into their lab coat pockets which is then forgotten until the next year…
He’d carry a 1.5mL marked as 1.5 with the tube interior frosted which turns into a 1.5mL marked as 1.7 in dreams.

Eames would totally choose the most flamboyant, bouncy bops that have ever existed, dancing while singing, making all kinds of suggestive gestures and poses.
