White-bellied sea eagle After the devastating Cyclone Nisarg hit Konkan belt in June 2020; 90% of big trees fallen down in the region. These trees were used to be the home and favourite breeding spots for white-bellied sea eagle since ages. I was afraid that I may not able to see these magnificent raptors in Konkan coast again. But, last week while I was taking a walk on a beach in village Kelshi, I saw this individual soaring into the skies. I was even lucky to see him coming down and catching a fish. Rufous treepie & white-bellied treepie The rufous treepie is a long tailed bird from crow family native to the Indian Subcontinent and adjoining parts of Southeast Asia. It is found commonly in open scrub, agricultural areas, forests as well as urban gardens. It is very adaptable, omnivorous and opportunistic in feeding.
