Namaste people! Brown here again , you must be wondering why am I making post on ayurevda- the science of life or the oldest healing methods ? Well perhaps to add more knowledge which is pratical , simple, helpful and best . As a healer myself I emphasis on self-healing through energy but alas many people don't know the deeper aspects and meaning of energy that flows within them hence allow me to connect with your innate human biological features or functions and give you the ways to build life long happiness and holistic well-being.

When the doshas are balanced, the digestive fire is equal, the tissues are in equilibrium, and the excretory functions are regular; when the mind, senses, and self are happy, that is called health.

WHAT IS AYURVEDA ?

Ayurveda is an ancient Indian system of medicine with a history spanning over 5,000 years. It's a holistic approach to health and well-being, focusing on balancing the body, mind, and spirit to prevent and treat diseases. The term "Ayurveda" means "knowledge of life" or "the science of life". It considers the individual as a whole, taking into account their physical, mental, and spiritual aspects. The diet and lifestyle is very intrisinc to it. The "father of Ayurveda" is widely regarded as Charak - who wrote charak-samhita . It came in first millennium BCE , this knowledge was transmitted from gods to sages than to the human physicians which came to be printed in sushruta-samhita - frame work of bharatiya or Hindu diety of Ayurveda ; Dhanvantri , who recarinated as king divodas to give this knowledge .

WHAT ARE TRI-DOSH ?

In a human body, there are three dosh or the three elements (vatt , pitah, kapha) which are the combination of (space , air, water and earth)

Here is the detailed explanation and importance of each dosh :

ᯓ VATTA :

▪︎ It associated with your cognition and movement composed of space and air which governs your blinking, muscle and tissue movements , pulsation of heart , movements in cytoplasm and cell-membrane . It is responsible or the indicator of life in your body . It's made of space and air.

▪︎ when it is is balanced It promotes to flexibility and creativity , makes a person confident and sharp-minded .

▪︎ it's disbalance leads to nervousness, anxiety, panic, excessive thinking, disturbed sleep, dry or chapped skin, constipation, gas, bloating, hard stools, low body weight, and sensitivity to cold and wind.

ᯓ PITTAH

▪︎ It is associated with your metabolism, body temperature, assimilation , nutrition and digestion. It is made of fire and water .

▪︎ When it is balanced It promotes understanding, intelligence, balanced nature in a person which allows one to connect with other properly or we say socialising.

▪︎ when it's in disbalance it would lead to indigestion , poor assimilation, aggression , jealously and poor disbalance of nature in a person .

ᯓ KAPAH

▪︎ It's associated with your body structure, bones , muscles and tendons keeping them together by providing a glue to it. It's made of earth and water .

▪︎ A good moisturized skin is the result of good amount of kapah in body. The kapah gives water to other parts of the body keeping them alive and in a well state . It's balance leads a person to have good emotional intelligence - understanding else , love and having compassion , calmness and forgiveness .

▪︎ It's disbalance leads to materialism , greed and envy . The one feels unsatisfied and unfulfilled with themselves and their life.

रजः प्रवर्तते यस्मान्मासि मासि विशोधयत् ।

सर्वान् शरीर दोषांश्च न प्रमेहोस्त्यतस्त्रियाः ।

Transliteration :rajah pravartate yasmanmasi masi visodhayat || sarvan sharīr doshanshcha na pramehostyatastriyah | Every month (yasman masi masi) the menstrual fluid (rajah) is produced and released (pravartate)/excreted; the whole (sarvan) body (sharīr) is thus purified(visodhayat) of imbalance/toxins by facilitating excretion of them (doshanshcha na) from the body so that diabetes/polyuria (prameha) is not (na) prevalent in (asti ataha) females (striyah).

Rajas is one of the three Gunas. It denotes flow, movement, passion, energy and imparts dynamic nature and this corresponds to color Red .

In the physical body, Rajasvara represents the flow of menstrual blood, which contains blood, cervical mucus, vaginal secretions, and endometrial tissue that are being removed out of the physical body . In the vital body, Rajasraava represents the flow of excess Rajasic energy, i.e. Prana Shakti (especially the Apana vayu). And thus the women who is menstruating (अर्तववात्याम स्त्रियां स्त्री) is termed as Rajaswala .

Blood is the carrier of Prana-shakti within the physical body. Thus, through the excretion of the blood, excess Prana Shakti, which is Rajasic in nature, is thrown out of the body during menstruation. In the mental sheath, Rajas represents thoughts and emotions such as anger, frustration, uneasiness, irritation, mood swings, etc. to which menstruating women are more exposed. Therefore, menstruation is a complicated physio-psychological process that exposes a woman to the excess Rajasic condition at the physical, vital, and mental levels. Menstrual process itself is Shaucha (pure)Thus, the monthly periods must be understood as a form of austerity and self-purification.

Staying on brand this person has yet again resorted to spreading misinformation, and staying on brand it's one of those types of misinformation that can easily be debunked.

According to this person, current govt is pushing ayurveda and homoeopathy cured INSTEAD of modern medicine — *sighs*

1. Nobody is saying ban modern medicine, nobody is saying don't use modern medicines.

2. Current Govt. Has relaunched generic medicine schemes in 2015 (one year after it came into power) that ensures public can get live-saving medicines for 50-90% OFF. And guess what? These are allopathic (or modern) medicines only. Medicines of diabetes, heart problems, are available to be purchased for much, much less money.

Calling this level of misunderstanding “ignorance” feels generous. It’s more like a full-time commitment to being uninformed. The logic here is so detached from reality it’s almost impressive. At some point, it stops being confusion and starts being a choice to stay uneducated.

Apart from this, are people forgetting AYUSH scheme?

Apart from this, are people really so dead asleep they haven't seen construction of 100s of hospitals and collabs with nations like UK to promote biochemistry research AND introduction of scholarships for the same.

The current govt has taken steps to promote Ayurveda - yes, they've recently laid foundation stone in Rohini for construction of Central Ayurveda Research Institute.

You don't have to use it. You don't even have to enter. But please, yet again, stop spreading myths and fantasies. It's getting boring.

Especially the alcoholic ones. Even though they can definetly help with bad breath, the benefits are only temporarily and the good bacteria for a healthy mouth flora gets killed too, doing more damage than good in long term perspective. What if – instead of concealing symptoms of wider problems – we'd start supporting our oral health in a way we don't even have to worry about a bad breath in the first place. This is where oil pulling comes into place.

⭐️But what is oil pulling?

Oil pulling is the ayurvedic practice of swishing certain oils around the mouth, similar to mouth wash but for a longer period of time (10-30min). Oils like coconut, black seed or sesame have anti-inflammatory properties, helping against plaque and cavities without disrupting the mouth's flora. If done regularly for a longer period of time, oil pulling can also help with whiter teeth and less bad breath.

🥥And how do I do oil pulling?

Grab yourself one big spoon before teeth flossing and brushing(!)

Add ½ a spoon of coconut oil

optional: fill the rest up with black seed and/or sesame oil

Swirl around in your mouth for 10-30 minutes, preferably Don't swallow!

Spit the oil in the trash. Not the drain, as it will clock it (coconut oil solidifies at 77°F). A more milky colour is normal.

Continue with flossing and then brushing.
