December 2022 is almost here, and this is what to expect from The Homebakery!

I'm Amber and I used to be known as either senatorkhaleesi or imnotamisandristbut on these parts. Now, about 8 years later, I'm excited to return home to this blue hell site focused on building community, amplifying diverse voices in TTRPGs, and doing absolutely cool-as-hell-shit in whatever space this ends up being (hopefully with 500% less Doctor Who and Sherlock).

Here's what I've been up to in the TTRPG Space over the last little while:

I currently stream on Twitch, usually hosting TTRPG Study Hall, tarot reading nights, cozy games, and, of course, regular TTRPG one shots.

I appear in a ton of TTRPG actual plays, most recently at Lost Caravan RPG, Girls Run These Worlds, the Initiative Order, Weave the Tale, Going Critical RPG, Homie and the Dude, and more. I'll also be running TTRPG series regularly in 2023 -- more to come!

I'm on Tiktok, too! I'm currently getting my feet wet on that app, but I'm excited to see how that platform grows.

I'm a TTRPG writer, editor, and content strategist! I've edited books like Necrobiotic and Flabbergasted, performed content strategy for Fat Magic and Roll Together, and have written for groups like BeNeverending and Eldritch Osiris Games.

I've also written a few games including Fabulous Folkish Baking Programme (where you, too, can live out your fears of having a soggy bottom), Fire Sauce Fever Dream (if you want to journal about existing in Taco Bell), and more. Check out my games at my itch.io here!

This map took me almost 2 months.

Not because it required two months of work, but because, creatively, I was completely incapable of working on it. Every idea was bad, every change felt forced. Is it perfect? no. I should have used a different water texture, and some of the blending is really messy, but does it convey the message? Absolutely.

I love working on commissions because other people are so much more creative than I am, and when I think something is done, the client will have just an absolute banger of an idea that makes the final product that much better.

her nonprofit the imagination library sends out monthly books, completely free of charge, to any child that wants it. anyone who knows anything about reading education will tell you that simply putting books into children’s homes is the best way to promote literacy. they even have braille and audio options!

She's supported charities benefiting Appalachia and shut down racism and misogyny for decades. She's incredibly brave.

The best part is that most of the lore, especially Batman: The Animated Series, gets to a point in Batman’s career when everyone asks the question of why someone would rob a bank in Gotham when they know that if they approached Batman, and coincidentally Bruce Wayne, they could get the help they needed.
