what are your reasons for using queenlander as their portmanteau? I'm very curious

I made it up and i like it

(but generally I don't like portmanteaus that combine supe names with regular names OR the 2nd part of a name as the first part of the portmanteau, which is why i am not partial to 'maevelander' which is one i see others use. if it's considering 'maeve' as her civilian name, then it shouldn't go with '-lander'; if it's the supe name, then 'maeve' is the second part of 'queen maeve', so it shouldn't be the first part of the portmanteau, at least in my brain.)

One silly thing I’ve been doing to try to improve positive self talk and mental state and what not is changing some of my reflexive/intrusive negative thoughts that crop up instinctively … it doesn’t always work but maybe in the long run it will

For example “ugh, killing myself” is one that goes thru my mind a lot in an “fml” kinda way but I try to replace it with “killing my self-doubt” or “filling myself with hope” or “instilling myself with motivation” or “grilling myself to delicious perfection” (totally normal affirmation)

Lately trying to workshop new versions for “I wanna blow my brains out”. So far all I got is “I wanna blow this case wide open.” It has potential though I’m still looking for other options

If you have several connected ideas that don't quite work as a regular multichap story but also don't quite feel like a series, a 5+1 style of fic might work for you.

In general, the fic is six chapters long (although you can format it however you'd like if that doesn't work for you). It chronicles 5 times that one thing happened and 1 time that something else happened instead.

For example: 5 times A and B didn't kiss... and one time they did.

It's an easily recognizable structure for many and it's a handy way for writers to get to "the good bits" without agonizing over transitions etc. in between. Each chapter hits with the power of a oneshot, but you still get the build up and release of a multichapter fic.

You don't have to follow the numbers exactly. 5+1 is just the most common format.

maevelena money stuff post number #34059? - thinking again about like post canon / post tmdoms world where maeve can somehow regain control of her money again and then promptly. hands the keys over to elena, gives her full access and full control over the money. what a tremendous gesture of intimacy that would be for maeve to fully trust someone, even someone very close to her, with her money. after growing up with the fear instilled in her that even a parent would take it from her and lose it.
