just saw your warren post (with the kurt cobain photo) and am also still obsessed with off campus (which lowkey brought back (teen drama) tv shows having iconic soundtracks and not just taylor swift songs like tsitp). so what do you think would/should the soundtrack be like for a hypothetical charmed next gen spin-off? feel free to also answer for your AUs/morris brothers! also i think you talked about what the next gen spin-off theme song would be in a post a while back, would love to know if you still agree with that or what you think about that now? so i have actually made a couple playlists for characters in the past (such as this cupitch playlist!) for the classic next gen i don't necessarily have too many strong associations i've always associated parker with charli xcx and kind of the hyperpop club dance music scene in general whereas peyton has always been more of a softer pop girlie i picture her with like michelle branch some one direction current charters like olivia dean and laufey would also be up her alley. pj just pop in general i know she gets down to some sabrina carpenter
kat i think is more of an alt girlie she listens to talking heads and the smiths and a bunch of old bands her parents had on casette and cd. tamora i think would jam to olivia rodrigo i want tam to have more of a sad girl vibe to her That Being Said one song that i just really associate with tamora is wacced out murals from kendricks gnx album. henry i think is more hip hop et al i've mentioned frank ocean for him before i've also recently found partyof2 i think he'd absolutely jam to that
for wyatt chris and melinda honestly. i do not think about it that much mostly because i feel like many people already have strong opinions on these characters that i don't necessarily. for chris i picture more angsty music bc he's an angsty boy. for wyatt i picture more oldies like um. build me up buttercup. et al. bc well a) bangers but b) not a genre i've assigned to anyone else. and then melinda i just say pop. which is kind of what i say when i don't know what to say you know it's generic its the easiest favorite a crowd pleaser real regular choice but honestly i just can't think of any bigger niche that melinda would really dive into i'm sure a well structured argument could convince me otherwise but in my head melinda would not really be able to put me on to anything you know? aint nothing i haven't heard before
