in general i think new york is very good for my social anxiety because no matter how much of a freak i’m being i know it’s probably not the weirdest thing people have seen today

case in point: i felt bad about bringing my unwieldy luggage onto a crowded train, until the man sitting next to me pulled a live fish out of his backpack

Wanna know something kinda sad about my favourite song.

My favourite song is ’When you love someone’ by James TW and it's about a father talking to the kid about how the father and mother are getting a divorce.

This song never fails to make me cry but I love so much and it means so much to me.

Wanna know why.

Well it's bc when it came out (2016) I was in year 6 and that's when my mum and dad started having problems.

My parents sat me down one day and told me they might be getting a divorce and that shit is hard for a 10-year-old but I powered through bc of this song. It showed me there is a reason for it and I should look at both sides. It basically explained what my parents were going through at a pace and level a 10-year-old could understand

They didn't end up getting the divorce then but the song remains my favourite.
