Spark!Jam CRK[HIATUS]

The Spark!jam au is a Cookie Run Kingdom Alternate Universe containing both the beast and ancient cookies as its main storyline, its primary focus is to display how the ancient and beast bonds could work if they were paired with different souljam holders. (derived from the original lore with numerous changes because of constantly changing canon lore)

Pairings are as such:

MFC -> HBC BSC -> DCC (and Holly occassionally) ESC -> GCC SSC -> PVC and SMC -> WLC

Lore wise, the AU starts off with the concept of Pure Vanilla Cookie and White Lily Cookie wanting to offer the beasts a redemption of sorts after facing Silent Salt Cookie and learning of his background through White Lily Cookie. This, along with other reasons in the background (ex: the sealing spell needing to be looked through more thoroughly) causes some ancients to be against it. Despite this, the plan is respected because of the trust everyone puts in Pure Vanilla Cookie. White Lily chooses to separate the beasts from their respective ancient in an effort to prevent any dangers and corruption, for both parties. However, this wasn’t randomly chosen. Each beast has someone that can effectively counter them and someone that has dealt with similar things in their lives. Some ancients, such as Golden Cheese Cookie and Dark Cacao Cookie are against the idea, but entrust Pure Vanilla’s insight. They trust he is wise enough to know who will work with who. Those like Hollyberry Cookie and Pure Vanilla Cookie are more drawn to the idea of redeeming them because of their previous experiences with the beasts, but know it is not wise to keep the two holders of the soul-jam near each other. This separation is meant to give the beasts a new experience to ‘spark’ up the opportunity for a change in their life. Without high expectations or the need for perfection in their life.

The beasts are completely against the idea of redemption. Either by being too torn, thinking it's stupid or not wanting anything to do with ‘’befriending’’ the ancients in the first place. As for the question with Silent Salt, he still is seen as another victim by the beasts. Not knowing he was the one that entrapped them. He realizes that trapping them again will cost a greater sacrifice this time, and that he can no longer do it himself. This doesn’t mean he’s cooperative though, he is against the whole idea and often is closed off when it comes to Pure Vanilla’s help.

The plan occurs after the beasts realize they were pawns in Dark Enchantress Cookie’s hands, and end up being betrayed by her to allow her escape during their Great Battle with the Ancients. Their defeat greatly unstabilized them now that there wasn’t a cookie constantly providing them with their life energy to keep up their forms with their dangers.

Over the last few weeks, I have been getting demands on all platforms for more cookie run content and overall have been suffering from a bunch of parasocial fans from the community in general. Even on here it’s become an issue to where I’m getting asked very personal things about me and my partner and it’s frankly becoming uncomfortable to deal with.

I have told a lot of viewers on all platform multiple times that I am a student currently overworked and yet I’m met with demands to continue providing cookie run content and I genuinely need to step back for a bit due to this. It’s not the fault of anyone in particular, but the general community is insensitive when it comes to content creators.

As for the parasocial people, please remember I am NOT a friend, I do not know you so please stop asking about my personal life, it’s frankly creepy and is scaring me more than making me feel comforted.

Cookie Run Kingdom was my passion, my light and what I adored, but as of post Silent Salt Chapter, it has become an unbearable community and frankly has driven my motivation to continue interacting with it down the drain.

Hello all! I am still working on the AU, unfortunately I am still a college student and don’t have much time due to a 3d animation final I have to do. This and my current financial situation is forcing me to focus a lot of my free time on finding ways to support myself.

In the meantime! Have some previews for future posts. (Two animation wips shadowlily & burningcacao , two lore relevant drawings for the au, and a 3d render I’m using for any future golden cheese and eternal sugar animations)

Probably my top three would be Mystic Flour x Burning Spice, Silentlilyfaerie and my little rarepair Red Velvet x Licorice cookie

Me and my lover (both he/him) aren’t really as obsessed with the lore as much as we used to be, but! Before we started distancing ourselves we did acquire a lot of lore knowledge that does help with what we would both wanna do if we were on the team.

For my lover he’s always felt like cookie run skipped on a lot of good potential stories and lore that could’ve been explained more in depth instead of being ended abruptly or rushed in side stories, from his words reading this question he would love to see the conflict between the cookies and the witches who made them aka the ones who White Lily saw devour cookies and stuff as such. (Not the witch’s castle cookies since I’m not entirely sure if it’s canon??)

He would’ve written the dark enchantress plot-line much longer during her witch form, had it been something where the beasts were betrayed and had to end up using their powers with the ancients in a last resort as to not get blasted by Dark enchantress cookies abilities (and her betrayal) And would’ve killed Dark Enchantress all together, BUT there would come a problem where both the witches and wizards get word or find out about this and realize how dangerous the ancients and beasts can become. Which would offer a Deity (in cookiekinds eyes) vs Creation plotline, having their ‘saviors’ in some cases be the main thing trying to prevent them from continuing their lives out of fear. It would offer risk to the ancients and have them experience similar issues the beasts did. It would slowly travel and seep into the religious aspects of cookie run’s lore such as pastry cookie or dark forest cookie, slowly introducing a religious trauma sort of part that would impact a lot of cookie kind.

Oh absolutely, I have PLANS it’s just school holding me back.

BIG COOKIE RUN SPOILERS

(This was an ask but idk where it went so I’m still posting this)

Oh boy, DO I HAVE SOME STUFF TO SAY.

To be fair, I wasn’t expecting a happy ending at all when it came to the dark enchantress storyline ending.

HOWEVER. I do have a bone to pick with how the everyone was represented.

Eternal Sugar, Mystic Flour and Burning Spice becoming throwaway characters absolutely was out of left field. I feel as if this chapter was either rushed or wasn’t collaborated on by the same people who wrote the previous chapters of beast yeast (aka the ones who wrote the spire because I believe the spire and mystic flours story were one of the best written areas)

It definitely needed more time to cook, a lot of beast yeasts chapters kinda did. I feel like Golden Cheese Cookie definitely deserved more development and reference to the PTSD endured from Burning Spice from literally getting her wings ripped off, as well as White Lily or Hollyberry in their respective chapters as well.

My main issue with Cookie Run at the moment is how much favoritism they have towards popular characters. It causes them to care little about the characters that are less favored. This happened a lot after Shadow Milk’s chapter where both Mystic Flour and Burning Spice got less spoiling than the rest of the cast. This also happens a lot with the women characters in cookie run, and it follows through in both the fandom and the writing. I feel like a-lot of White Lily’s stories in both the silent salt chapter and the new one were absolutely overshadowed by minor male characters (people caring more about shadow milk and or pure vanilla) Theres a lot of characters that are often brushed to the side, I didn’t believe it would pass on any further, but the newest chapter completely did exactly that.

Using the three other beasts as power tools for Shadow Milk to be pushed to the front as the main antag after a few months of development and depth into the beasts was absolutely the wrong move. That and the way some of the beasts are displayed nowadays to one dimensional characters like Burning Spices “wing obsession” or Eternal Sugar’s stereotypically harmful wlw trope (though I cannot speak too much on this since I am not a woman and cannot speak for the community itself)

I am also conflicted on Silent Salt and White Lily’s part of the story. While I felt the end of White Lily’s arc was solemn and very impactful, I feel like a lot of people are pushing it towards “oh poor pure vanilla” which is insanely harmful to subject her whole entire lore and story to another person rather to herself. I just in general dislike the sewersuidal character becoming a sacrifice especially with how white Lily’s personality is and how much she feels she’s tied to dark enchantress. (idk if tumblr restricts things) I feel like Silent Salt’s death is good to keep though, just from personal opinion.

Honestly? I simply titled a burning-cacao video as beast swap and afterwards I was thinking of it and how little we know of the beasts and their past traumas. Sure, now there’s more lore but I started thinking about possible ways they could’ve been redeemed and if it was even possible in the first place.

One of my biggest inspiration was Steven universe, especially with Pearl and Spinel’s stories. The witches who created the beasts are similar to how Rose Quartz is depicted, we do not know the full stories of why they abandoned the beasts and if they had any part in their corruption but even if it wasn’t intended harm still happened. Ptsd is a thing that doesn’t fit one label or stereotype.

However, for a lot of cookie run fanfics they don’t go into depth with PTSD influence on both the ancients and beasts. Their relationships are often simplified down into simply “romantic” content without fully realizing HOW much effort is needed to be in a healthy relationship with them.

For example, Shadow Milk is often chipped down to Pure Vanilla’s lover. A lot of people seem to drive towards Shadow Milk either as self shippers or shadowvanilla shippers. (Myself included!) But when you think about it realistically, a lot would have to happen in order for them to be healthy. Shadow Milk often regresses back to his deceitful ways the moment someone shows care for him as a way of self sabotage. Not to mention how much damage he causes for those around him.

Burning Spice, while seen as attractive is a violent soul who was stuck as an immortal watching his people be birthed and die over and over again, forever stuck with change but it still never changing in his immortal eyes. Destruction is the only way he sees fit because it is the only thing he himself can control, something that is different in the endless time loop he is in.

Much is the same for Eternal Sugar, allowing people into her garden only to grow obsessively attached in fear of them getting hurt as soon as they left to the point where she herself SABOTAGED them to return to her care endlessly manipulating them so she would have her title as a bringer of happiness forever.

Honestly that’s a good question! It isn’t really meant to be a defined ship AU rather than one developed to see the mental aespect in redeeming the beasts and showing the ptsd that both the ancients and beasts had through their experiences.

They’re probably my favorite!! Hope you like what I did for them.

Pure Vanilla and Silent Salt in Spark!Jam are probably one of the ones I will enjoy writing most because I imagine their relationship is very one sided until later on (mostly friendship wise but again my content can be interpreted as either romantic or platonic!!)
