I got lovely anon message requesting that I upload my pottery barn jars from several years ago here since sadly Black Pearl Sims has closed its doors :(
Here they are! 3 simple deco jars filled with sand, soap and twigs respectively.
These are for TS2, I believe someone did a TS3 conversion a while ago; if some genius wants to convert these for TS4 - or link me a tutorial on how to do it myself, Iād be super grateful since I just got into TS4 this month ;)

Would anyone with experience with this kind of modding like to check out the files for me and maybe see whatās wrong? Itās not a big deal, Iāll scrap it if itās just not working out, but itād be a handy thing to have! :)
Hereās the files. TheĀ āzeroā mesh is the master, and although Iāve included the other numbers, they all should have the same changes made to them, so no need to check them all religiously. Iāve included one recolourĀ for testing.

I set myself a little challenge to make my game more interesting: start with a dominant hair coloured heir and marry them off to a recessive haired spouse. 1 child per gen, 1 chance to breed in the recessive hair colour. 7 gens in: hereās Jacob <3 His grandfather was the result of alien abduction and even better is that he inherited the pointed alien ears too! Iāll get more pics of them because you canāt see them here ahaha!

So, I realised I have virtually no pictures of my game on my blog: so here you go! I had a craving a few days ago to create a comic/collectibles store, which my current legacy family now own :)
No pictures of the outside because Iām terrible at exteriors and landscaping - but Iām quite proud of how the interior turned out. I realised after Iād finished that Iād used virtually all Maxis match/conversions/expanded sets, which is a first for me :D

Happy Easter fellow simmers! Iāve had these gifts for a few days, but I thought Easter would be a good time to share them since itās all about little nibblets and these are aimed towards your pixel spawn.
First up we have HugeLunaticās 4t2 Bassinet in 29 Anna colours (no white since bethlikessims already did a white recolour here.)Ā Iām a fan of no frills, no fuss in my game so these recolours donāt have the bow or the boxes underneath - itās just a cleaned up, tidy crib. I have *NOT* included the mesh, you can get it here.
Second is the OFB āBeary Cuteā sculpture ripped off the pedestal and scaled down and flipped. Available in 2 sizes and 2 positions, large and small, standing and laying down. 29 Anna colours (again, no white) and repositoried to the original sculpture so *OFB is required*

Iām on a roll! I needed to expand the Venice lip set I did for Trapping last year and while hunting for palettes I stumbled across AlfredAskewās Thimble Lip Colors. Yay!
This is a set of 22 lips using Pookletās texture from the Cool Rehash skin set and an alpha by Io. I used all of colours from the palette, and edited 2 results slightly to produce 2 new colours (Fright and Oasis).
I will warn you now that some of the colours look like pink plastic Barbie lipstick, whilst others look very natural. I figured people might like a selection. Lips available for Teens - Elders, male and female.

a few bodyshop tricks + a faux-fix for the offspring distortion glitch
BodyShop is a willful little beast but sometimes I can trick it into altering hard-to-edit parts of a simās face by using seemingly unrelated sliders and ācanceling outā their effect with other sliders. Looking at this post now it is not actually that helpful and everyone probably knows this stuff already but I made gifs and everything so now I have to post it, it is the law.

If I donāt have a specific idea in mind for a townie I want to make, Iāve been using a randomizing method that has served me pretty well so far and helps me get more unique genetics instead of just using the unaltered template features over and over. Can anyone help with getting the texture to show up properly on this fan conversion? The blades are a separate group from the rest of the fan. Theyāre supposed to be blue and I canāt get them to show up properly along with the rest of the fan. When I choose āignore alphaā the blades show up but the base of the fan looks transparent (pic 1).Ā ?
If you haven't already - right click the blue window and choose Transparency > Depth Buffered With Alpha Reference and then set yourĀ texture back to Default. That should fix it hopefully ;)
It's just a Milkshape quirk that happens sometimes - I've seen it quite a lot with Maxis meshes.
