Please tell me

If I’m the only one

Who lives by knowing

Failure is an option.

  I know that life

Will make me think

I’m worthless

But only to it is it true.

  I understand

I’m loved

I’m cared about

Yet this planet

Rejects me.

  I’m unique

I frighten

The world of lies

The world of rules

The world of hate

The world of walls.

  To separate one

From another

Makes me wonder

‘Will I ever find my true self?’

Place I’m accepted

Where I can be myself

Where my weirdness is embraced.

Tells me truth

That only I can determine my future.
