the puppetry in phm is just so fucking good dude. think abt how much improv there was. the dancing/mimicking scene when rocky and grace first met? that was improvised. that means that 5 people were so in sync with each other on this puppet that they were able to mimic ryan gosling in real time with no plan. bro. genuinly tho i love to think about the human mannerisms rocky must have picked up while alone with grace for years. do you think he returned with an accent? completely different body language? sayings and idioms that make no sense when translated? it's so dear to me.
Okay, as much as I love Rocky extending Grace's life without telling him, consider: Rocky *does* tell Grace, Grace just then somehow manages to like. Horrendously misinterpret what the treatment is actually for. Like.
