Maturing is realizing how many things don’t require your comment.

There is nothing more seductive—and dangerous—than being listened to.

The problem with me is that I always sought warmth in the coldest of hearts, I thought I could change, or be changed by all the people who hurt me. And I was right, but it didn’t just change me, it taught me how to be my own fire.

It’s funny, age brings experience, but experience is what ages us.

so what if my bones are made from the same dirt as the universes. says, everything crumbles. says, everything floats. somewhere a god gloats in an old petrol station store: gasoline in his hair & lately, fire everywhere.

I came to the conclusion a while ago that there is nothing romantic or supernatural about loving someone: Love is the privilege of being responsible for another.

Fall in love with me the way a speeding car kisses a lamp pole.  Hold me the way a moving van carries your fathers belongings to a new home. Let me into your life the way a robber shatters a window to steal everything you have. Give me the chance to break your heart.

If they cannot understand the wildness inside you, they will try to tame it and cage it. Find someone who appreciates the beauty of wild things like you.

There is nothing I would not do for those who are really my friends. I have no notion of loving people by halves; it is not my nature. My attachments are always excessively strong.
