I’m not much for Politics, but in this day and age, internet should be a human right. The fight for Net Neutrality is a lot more than a simple law it’s the battle for the future. We now live in a society people are spending more and more time online. The repeal of Net-Neutrality has the potential to be devastating in the long run. I know some people don’t like the idea of leaving something like the internet in the hands of the government, but it’s the lesser of two evils here. Big business is something you DON’T want to mess with or trust. You can TRUST that Verizon will make it so they have sole access to Tumblr or you can TRUST that At&t won’t make a deal with Netflix to double the price on other ISP providers or you can fight for what’s right. The FCC has ignored the backlash of the vast majority of the American population and we need to make sure that our voices ARE heard. We can’t let corporate America trample over us, we HAVE to speak up. Ajit Pai has shown absolute disregard to the general population and has done nothing more than pursue his agenda that more than likely is being funded by ISP’s themselves. This doesn’t just effect America either, the entire WORLD is watching this right now. So yes, you do have the ability to change the world for the better. The results of this will have influence on other nations, whether it be very direct or more indirect, these results matter so much more than what you may see at face value. I know it’s an inconvenience to contact your representatives, but it’s for the better. This is all for the better. We’re not fighting for a law, we’re fighting for humanity! So please, call your representatives, explain to them that you want to keep a open and free internet.
