Suicide is not the answer. It has never been the answer and you wont find justice or any sense of relief in it. You relinquish your own trials and tribulations of this world and simply move on to the next. But don't think for a fucking second that you're the only person this affects. I know I could have reached out more. I could have been by your side. I was too busy wrapped up in my own problems and tormented thoughts that I completely blocked out the possibility of you having similar afflictions. The end of the world is not when everybody dies or when the planet explodes. It's when one soul simply can't take anymore and, instead of reaching out for help, opts to take their own life. Nothing is the same after something like that happens. All the world changes in little ways or big. You need to acknowledge that pain is just a part of life. You can either let it eat you up inside or you can talk to anyone who's willing to listen. You may not find that in family or in friends. But somebody out there has walked in your shoes and has had those impulses. That's my take on it anyway. But it shouldn't all be up to you. I should have been there. And I wasn't. I know you've failed yourself. I know our mother has failed you. Your father. Your friends. But I was always around you, ignorant to your perdition. I heard your problems and I saw your anger and your sadness and I turned away. And now I sit alone. Drinking. Crying for the first time in years. Wondering how I could be so blind. All that keeps me from joining you is the insight and empathetic distress we're all in.
