your average local indie band is out here busting their asses open trying to come up with the most unique vinyl design you have ever seen (including some sick feature like a poster or w/e) to boost their album sales and make something worth collecting, while the biggest popstars on the planet with infinite resources on their hands are like "buy 4 different versions of the same album because they have a new photo of me inside :)"

"well don't buy them then!" I won't! But this argument means nothing to me --- I am not happy that big artists are putting little effort into "collectible" versions just because they don't have to in order to sell. If you are constantly talking about "doing cool things for your fans!", maybe you should actually do that by creating interesting collectibles instead of doing the bare minimum visually?
