The Mysterious Violet Book humors existence to an entity called Iron Spiral. Rumored to appear after extreme moments of rotation, such as spinning ones-self, it shows itself to those who can match its staggered movements. It appears harmless, rather well balanced upon its pointed feet, choosing to act dizzy to replicate the target. One theory leads that due to its striking resemblance to Spinda, that this Pokemon may have been created because of an attempt to perfectly balance one.

"It resembles a certain Pokemon mentioned in a paranormal magazine, described to be humanity's attempt to perfectly stabilize a Spinda. It's possible that Iron Spiral, an object described in an old book, may actually be this Pokemon."
