Behold! My Trash!

Quite a few of our mod team have decided to step down due to increased personal responsibilities and/or new fandom interests, leaving us very short-handed. This event is a lot of work to run, and requires a minimum number of people to reasonably manage. (This also means that we will be on the hunt for additional moderators in future.)

Due to a number of external factors, our drop rate last year was significantly higher than usual, even among our regular and returning folks. We’ve done the Bang four years in a row now, and it’s an event that takes up the majority of the year, making it a huge commitment of time and energy. Our main takeaway was that a lot of TF fandom is feeling burnt out right now, and with world events and personal situations unlikely to get any less stressful in the coming year we think that everyone could use the chance to recharge- mods and participants alike.

We’re sorry to anyone that’s disappointed by this news, but we hope to be back again in 2027, refreshed and ready to go again! With the recent news about Discord requiring age verification, this will also give us time to scope out alternative platforms for hosting the event.
