A/N: I saw @ilovemen7 wanted to see more Russell Adler—help is on the way! Just kidding. I came up with the idea shortly after thinking about Helen and Russell working together.

"Bell is showing signs of withdrawal," Helen observed, pushing hair off their face.

Sweat beaded on Bell's blank face.

Half distorted from drugs and the other half in pain from previous injuries.

"They are traumatized, too."

Russell scoffed. The cold beer he'd been nursing was now his ice pack.

He should have known Bell had a nasty right hook.

Helen had gotten bitten by Bell before, too.

Bell never did it again—maybe from fear or respect.

Helen didn't know why the subject, Bell, kept attacking Russell.

Maybe he intimidated it into forgetting the memories they were trying to induce in their mind.

Bell had gotten aggressive—nothing had set it off.

It reminded him of a dog—one fearful and prone to misjudgment. One that acted before it thought twice.

That was Bell. He hated Bell, like he hated stray dogs.

"What are we going to do with Bell when everything is done?"

Helen asked. She already had something planned.

They both knew that Bell can't stay alive. They don't have a use for them after the mission is finished.

A brainwashed, half-dead ex-Perseus operator isn't something the CIA would keep.

"We can put them under a sedative and give them medication to make it seem like they overdosed."

Russell shook his head. It was a good plan, but he had something else in mind.

"No." He rubbed his bruised jaw. "As much as we treat Bell like a lab animal..."

It wasn't his conscience speaking for him. He felt no guilt for what he was doing.

Bell deserved everything it was receiving.

"I'm going to shoot Bell." He pointed a finger to his temple, making a shooting motion.

"I'll tell Mason and Woods to dig a hole. They won't know it's for our good little pet."

He tried to pet Bell before withdrawing his hand just as quickly.

"Did they just growl at me?"

He looked at Helen, annoyed.

I was doing some reading about "RAMCOA" (ritual abuse, mind control, organized abuse) and information associated with it, and it made me think of Bell since many of those mkultra tactics are used by perpetrators of ramcoa now.

It would be interesting to imagine, after the Duga ending or however you want to perceive an ending where bell survives, he experiences some personality system symptoms.

DID formation takes place in early childhood when a personality and sense of self is being formed, but it would stand to reason that after Bell killing adler, finding out his personality is highly manufactured from this person he has traumatic ties to, then lacking a grasp on himself and his new "place" in the world, He would experience a high amount of troubles with his identity.

Sure, he has perseus to tell him who he was, but would that be enough? He already had a powerful man tell him who he was and we can see how that went. Theres a part of him that is blank, There is a part of him that is constructed of adlers memories into a "Bell". There is a part of him that is tied to his past identity. And there is a human part of him that is begging for any of them to make sense to his mind, something he can cling onto that doesnt feel wrong. But now it all feels like an ill-fitting suit.
