Recently I have really been into this book so much I just couldn’t help but draw some of the characters. The book is called Daughter of Smoke and Bone written by Laini Taylor. The main character Karou is who I decided to do first. @merisiel_irum was my inspiration for her. Her look is exactly how I picture Karou to look like. You should all check out her page she does some kick ass cosplay would recommend 👌. Learning the glossy lip technique 💋

Here is another one of my favourites. We were given as a class another “Awesome Project” to have the freedom to create what we want. I choose to go back to my old roots and create an oil painting.

Here is another digital piece of a character design. The assignment was to recreate an original character. I choose to recreate the wicked witch of the west into a magical modern warrior. Keeping some elements the same I decided to use the green skin and black clothes as well as her weakness to water. 

Here is our first “Awesome Project” where we were assigned to create a project of our own where we had no limits on what we could draw as long as it showed the techniques we had learned. I decided to do my project digitally to get a feel of what it was like before we start studying it. 

This is probably one of my favourite pieces that I have done at college so far. Our assignment focused on the different types of textures and elements to make up a mask from our own imagination. I choose to explore sea elements as use lots of mossy textures as if the mask got washed up on shore.

Here is another study I did for design. Studying the techniques of dynamic and static, as well as looking at composition as if its from a birds eye view.

Here is one of my first design studies focusing on 50% positive and negative space using shapes and patterns.

This is one of the first projects that we finally got to use colour for. Medium used was gouache. The assignment was to create a minimalist movie poster only using the concept and ideas from the film. Any guesses?
