My best advice for gaining confidence/making your life better is to be able to trust yourself - do the things you say and plan to do.
It can be something small like planning to "start everyday with tea or a mediation" or "taking the trash out tomorrow" to bigger things like "work out 3 times in a week"
Because if you follow your own word, you are able to trust yourself, you are going to start believing in yourself because you are reliable person and then you are going to be able to move mountains!
