This years theme card is “The Lovers”. Think about your current relationships with people, the choices you’re making, and what you think you need to work on with communication.

I asked Gwenneth Lane to message me privately, in accordance to Lili Lux’s request to keep conflict out of the free company channel.

Gwenneth made a very offensive joke to people with dwarfism like myself. All I did was ask her to not use the word midget, or joke about my disability.

She acted like she was going to honor my request. I decided not to get hostile with her, for I thought there wasn’t a need to be. All I wanted was her to understand why that word was bad. I even asked her if she would like a brief history lesson. Did it turn out well? Not so.

It turned out she had gone to the leadership. I’m going to assume Lili Lux, because she is the one that messaged me. I will not be mentioning any other names than those directly in conflict.

Lili tried to spin it like I had goofed up again, and tried to make it seem like I was just overreacting over a joke. Like it’s so funny to make fun of a disability, and that getting mad at it is infringing peoples right to freely make jokes.

Give me a break. That is the saddest sob story excuse I constantly hear from people that aren’t disabled. By all means, you can make any joke you want about short people in general, because we do it to lalafells all the time! Just don’t drag disability into it.

I have a pretty thick skin when it comes to being offended. You would know from my well known troll attempts on the server, but one thing I will not do is make fun of disabilities, real world races, or anything else that is that personal.

We as little people cannot defend ourselves legally in the same way that the LGBT+ community, and other minorities can. There are not millions of us to lobby. There are merely a couple hundred thousand or so. A lot of us are disabled completely, and have issues with traveling. We depend on people without the disability to stand up for us, and keep that status quo peaceful with us. Your jokes about “midgets” snowball into anti little people culture that effects children in schools, and issues at work. They are not funny. They are actually quite alarming.
