this piece means So Much to me because you’d think a piece centered around being the day after her attempt that it would be lonely and blue and pitifully sad but no its filled to the brim with ambient yellow lighting and the constant reds and greens of her day to day life. its the same as any other day, even better than any other day, if anything. there’s get well cards and medication but there’s also the eevee plush and the fish rug there’s tissues scattered around her bed in the darkness and in the corner of the room, her sheet music for flute, her expectations and reality waiting for her of course it’s there, the life of the past just doesn’t disappear. but now, things quite literally can’t go back to how they used to be. she’s put on a ton of medication, she has auditory hallucinations, she, quite frankly, isn’t the perfect little girl she used to be. because now it’s true, she isn’t perfect because there’s a flaw, there’s something wrong with her. even as she's strumming that guitar, her hands are covered in bandaids and right above her hopeful eyes and that freedom, that leniency that comes with being deficient that she’s never got to experience before, it’s right there for her. but in the name of this terrible event, she’s finally given a break, a break that’s rightfully hers and completely deserved, especially when you consider just how much suffering she’s gone through at this point she has new red glasses, she’s got new shoes. and there, with that red electric guitar and the warm sunlight, she’s got a new opportunity too. one to be her true, authentic self. at least that's my little bum interpretation of it haha and i absolutely missed things in here 💚
