The weird pattern of trying to rip black characters from the hands of black people, who already have so little representation in the anime space is disturbing. I feel like no matter how unapologetically, how undeniably, how very clearly black a Manga artist will make a character, if they make them look "too cool" or have too interesting of a personality nonblacks will start frothing at the mouth to tell you all the reasons this character couldn't be black. Like, you're just racist 😭😭 you actually like it that black people aren't looked upon favorably in Japan because it means less black people in your anime. Or, black people who are drawn and written to be disgusting stereotypes. You HATE it when they're depicted in real ways, despite screaming down black people's throats when they make edits of characters. Background:
14 years ago, Queen Anna and King Kristoff Bjorgman of Arendelle were blessed with twins.
One bared Anna's features and the other bared Kristoff's.
They were named 'Princess Hilda Iduna Bjorgman of Arendelle' and 'Prince Haul Ryder Bjorgman of Arendelle'—and they were happily welcomed into the world by their family.
Six weeks after the twins were born, a mysterious woman dressed in a cloak appeared at their door with warnings of danger and a… rather confusing prophecy.
"The boy will take your throne", she'd said—growing irate when Kristoff informed her that's how heirs worked and then more insistent.
Kristoff ordered the guards to escort her out and after that, the new parents didn't pay the prophecy any mind.
Unfortunately, the other residents of Arendelle didn't take the prophecy with the same amount of ease and favored his twin sister much more than they did him—and some began to fear him.
Because of this, Haul grew up feeling isolated in his home kingdom and unbeknownst to his parents, he began to get bullied.
By the time Haul and Hilda transferred to Auradon Prep when they were 11, the stark difference between the twins was easily noticeable.
Hilda was loud, friendly, energetic, quirky, and outgoing—and quickly became a member of the popular crowd.
And Haul?
Well, Haul, while just as friendly and quirky as his sister, was quiet, skittish, insecure, and withdrawn. Much preferring the company of animals and plants to people, who he found intimidating.
This made him a prime target for bullying from some of the less savory students, which Haul just resigned himself to. Thinking he'd have to deal with it for the rest of his time at Auradon Prep, if not for the rest of his life.
And that's when Hannah Hook came bounding into his life, taking him in as one of her own. But that's a story for another time.

i was also thinking about my ocs on Hannah's and Dizzying AU, because I really like it, it sounds so so interesting
I don't think that much would change personality wise, but the styles would change so much! (I mean 3/4 of the other four would be in medieval attire but still)
and like! I don't have that many small character (small as in, the same age range as Tulip Rossi and Hannah Hook and the rest) but I imagine Mint (for more context, she's a pirate in Uma's crew and a granddaughter of Madame Mim) having the duty of babysitting Hannah sometimes because Harry is supposed to be watching her (and I don't remember well the family tree but I think they're long distance relatives???)
or like, Maple interacting with Tulip and drawing her designs 🥺🥺🥺 and giving her a small wood carving of a donkey

in the Reverse AU Risitos and Cal being princess and prince is so crazyyyyy, but they would barely interact with the important people so whatever
but like- Heartie??? they would be the most obnoxious person on the family, yeah princess Red (forgot the name so sorry) is spoiled rotten, but Heartie would go full on off with their head I believe
and the fact they would be half sibling/full on sibling of THE HOOKS? incredible, amazing, I would have never thought of it, imagine them abs Harriet bonding about idk doing life sentences is so fun
and I believe Mint would still be part of Uma's crew, so Minx would also probably interact in the day-to-day with Gwen and Tilly but he would pay that much attention to them

Cal would be SO annoying with Tilly only for the love of the game so he can annoy and fight with Zevon, I don't think he would try to do the same with Gwen because he doesn't like pirates that much (and idk, let's be creative and say that he actually dislikes Harriet and doesn't want to interact with her)
