I am obsessed with these two.

So if you’ve read the book, you know that Fitzjames starts suffering what we now call dissociation episodes a bit after Sir John dies. 

Crozier (idk why because he was all grumpy in the book and didn’t care for anyone for a while lmao) was very worried about Fitzjames losing his handsome appearance because he felt that if James lost it—then they were truly lost. 

On the night of the party, these two are (unfortunately) not wearing any costumes and when Tunbaaq appears (yes, it’s very funny how he actually just poofs in) and panic starts (no, Dr. Stanley doesn’t set himself on fire, boo) everything starts burning from back to front so Crozier starts running. He sees that Fitzjames is having one of those episodes so he grabs him and starts running with him calling him JamesJamesJamesplease because he needs Fitzjames to snap out of it. Then they find a boy thrown down there. Crozier, the official Dad™ of the expedition, sets James down, puts the boy on his shoulder, takes James by the hand and starts running once again.

However all doctors die that night lmao
