Even the broken smile the brightest

Christmas Day. Anna woke up earlier than anyone else to drag her sister downstairs to the tree. As she opened her gifts, Elsa sipped her own cup of hot choco before the bell rang. She stood up and walked to the door before opening it with a smile. “Doctor!” She exclaimed. “Merry Christmas! Please come in! Anna just began the opening” Elsa said as she moved away to allow him to move inside. “Would you like anything to drink? To eat?”

When he handed her the gift, she smiled and kissed him on the cheek before opening it. Laying out all the gifts before hugging him. “Thank you Doctor! Oh I love them all” She said as she slipped on the sweater and held the sonic screwdriver. Pointing it around. “I love the snowflakes on the screwdriver Doctor” she exclaimed as she held it carefully, tracing the design she saw. “Oh it’s perfect! Thank you so much Doctor.” Anna smiled at the Doctor before digging in her mountain of chocolate Kristoff had given her. “Come sit with us, we’re having a ball tonight and I wish for you to join us... if you can of course”

He smiled at her before raising an eyebrow. “May I ask why you have an acorn around your neck? Not to sound rude or anything lass, but it’s not that common for a necklace. But it’s a rather interesting thing to wear if one has a story to go with it”

“I’m sure they will fit you perfectly. If not, I can simply ask the seamstress to get you fitted with whatever you will to keep.” Elsa entered the closet with her and smiled. “Of course, I have too much clothes anyways. It’s nice to give to someone that would look better in the ones I don’t wear that keep them hanging to rot”

Elsa smiled softly at her old friend before nodding. “I’m really sorry I didn’t say anything to you. It’s just...I preferred letting you get to know the real me before the royalty me. If you understand that is”

“There’s others like me?” She asked. Wondering if they could teach her-oh they’re evil? Right.... She sighed when he said that before nodding. “I guess you could say that. I prefer to conceal rather than train. It’d be better for everyone as I would never forgive myself if I accidentally froze an entire country again” She mumbled, rubbing her arm. 

“In my defense, your family put me up to this. But at least the plan of having a party to celebrate still stands!” He offered his hand to David to help him up. “I’ll make it up to you by buying you a beer if you so wish”

Elsa sighed before nodding. “I knew you’d say that. Okay look, my name is Queen Elsa of Arendelle. I have winter manipulation which means I can control anything related to winter and create ice, snow, and frost just by either thinking of it or using my body. I do not mean to harm anyone and sometimes my powers get out of control” She said as she gestured to the little accident she had in the alley. “Again, I do not want to harm anyone. I just need to get home before I do accidentally”

“I see. Perhaps after meeting with the mayor, we can discuss getting some of Wayne Enterprises’ technology into my kingdom? I’m sure we could use some to provide my people the right security for our-ahem-criminals”

“Because I’m not the guy that does that. I believe in second chances. But I mean it. Put the knife down and we won’t have a problem sweetheart” he said as his eyes fixed on the blade. Ready for when it gets closer to him. 

Now Elliot hated slavery more than ever. The position of being a slave without any reason, option, or voice is quite sinful in his mind. “What if I helped you out? Help you be a free man instead of a slave?”
