”What..? I think you’re getting ahead of yourself there Harls.. I can call you Harls right? We haven’t even been to Burger King or Joe’s Pizza yet!” Spider-Man joked, holding up both halves of a collapsed bridge that would have crushed the woman had he not acted. Luckily she hadn’t caught him too off guard.

          new york wasn’t ALL that! harley had heard people talking about it, but it wasn’t all that different from gotham, really. except gotham had way more interesting people. times square – shmimes shquare! where was all the excitement she saw on tv all the time?

          aaaaaand oop– there it was! ❝ holy shit! ❞ as soon as she was ready to give up on the city altogether, a man in a red — was that a unitard? — came down hanging upside down on what looked like a spiderweb—  ❝ oooo! it’s a spider web! ‘cause you’re spider-man! ha! well done, that’s creative. ❞

          so colorful too, which harley would definitely endorse. spidey there could take batsy for a ride, couldn’t he?  ❝ i’m harley quinn! nice to meet’cha! ❞

As the webslinger landed on his feet in front of her, he was honestly surprised this was going well so far. With his Parker luck, that wasn’t usually the case. “Of course! One cannot truly be Spider-Man if they cannot shoot webs! Thanks to my self created web-shooters, I can!” Peter explained to the woman with pause. “Thank you.”

      “My hero,” Harley giggled, by some miracle staying on her feet. Her eyes were dazzled by the lights in the club so she was having trouble focusing on his face. 

     She draped her arms along his shoulders, though she stiffened slightly when security came to see what the commotion was. If she had been alone, Harley would have been on her way to the door by now. She didn’t like figures of authority for obvious reason. However, the guy was pretty genial with the hulk of a man, and she had to admit when she saw it action — Sweetness really was more effective than being an abrasive jerk. Harley really ought to remember she was as charming as she was badass more often.

     When her saviour returned his attention back to her, Harley grinned at him. Now that she could really get a look at his face, she could definitely tell he was a total cutie.“I’m fine now, sweetie.” Her throat tightened as she tried to suppress the rising sensation of indigestion. Breaking out in a sweat and feeling a chill go up her spine, Harley frowned. “Ugh, I might have tah go freshen up, but after that maybe I wanna go somwhere tah get somethin’ tah drink without liquor in it.”

“It was nothing. Just the right thing to do.” Peter simply stated in response to the woman’s words for the current moment in time. He wasn’t surprised by her reaction to security turning up to deal with the situation, just concerned about what would happen if he let go of her. Would she just fall over something? Or collapse perhaps? The man was not going to take any chances until he was absolutely certain she would be okay. 

It was hard for Peter not to notice or be aware when a plant based individual entered the city he swung over and protected daily, all throughout the year pretty much. He wondered what brought her here specifically and there was only one way to find out, an investigation. He had a different approach to other heroes, some of which would automatically be hostile. 

The man had been hearing a rumour going around and what he had heard would remain just that, a rumour until he had proven what he heard was true. Peter had heard that the infamous Harley Quinn was in town, in New York City, so he had decided to swing around the city to find out himself. Eventually he spotted her.

His Spider-Senses weren’t going off, that was a good sign. Peter had found her walking through a roof covered alleyway, landing above her. He then crawled upside down along the roof until he was way ahead of her, shooting a long web for him lower himself down to her with. He began to lower himself down towards her upside down. 

“Hi! Hi! Hey there!” Peter said in a friendly tone with pause. “Don’t be alarmed!” He said, still in a friendly tone as he paused once again and finally reached her after coming down upside down on a web. “Just your friendly neighbourhood Spider-Man!”
