the art of making friends is a complicated one, lucky for you, you are asking an expert for advice.

some people start conversations with a greeting, but to be subversive and therefore more interesting, i recommend to start talking to the target without prior warning. For conversation, choose a mundane topic with an intellectual twist. For example, instead of talking about the weather, talk about the recent atmospheric changes in the planet. This way you will showcase your knowledge and platonic desirability.

after going on about the subject for a couple minutes, ask for the target's opinion on the it. (ie: after talking about atmospheric changes, ask them what level of air pressure their skin finds the most pleasing). Listening to their answer might be boring as it is rare to find someone as good at conversation as one, but I urge you to stay focused.

If the target's response back satisfies the expectations you have for a friend, then repeat step 1 and 2 until you are invited to continue this conversation in a more intimate environment (ie: room, coffee shop).

However if the target's response does not match your level of intellect, simply walk away. This way you are able to sort between the people you want around you and the ones you do not.

Furthermore, if you see yourself rejected by the target, understand that it is their fault for being antisocial, and proceed with this algorithm.
