“I promise you. I can survive through a few crumbs. See..” The man said as he brushed everything away as if it hadn’t happened. “I understand. Getting distracted is normal and I can’t blame you completely, I was also not paying all that great of attention until it was too late.” Vision stood back up from collecting the ruined food and shook his head. “You made these yourself? What ecaxtly are they for?”

“I’m glad your shirt is such a trooper.” She gave him a smile, appreciating his understanding for her mishap. It seemed as though many other people at the school wouldn’t have been so kind. “I was doing about the same, I’m afraid to say. I was counting my baked goods when I got completely distracted.” Lettie was even ashamed at her own actions. This wasn’t like her. “Yes, they were for my class tomorrow. It’s a new recipe I was trying out.”

 Vision was usually on the ball when it came to being aware of certain things, especially when he was between classes. Sadly, something distracted him enough to end up covered in muffins. “Oh, no. I’ve had much worse then this to be worried about. It’s just something I can wipe off. Are you alright?” He asked the girl before going to pick up the muffins that fell. “It looks like you lost a few.”

She looked up at him to be sure that his shirt wasn’t too badly affected by her mistake. “Are you sure? It’s no problem, if I’d been saying attention that wouldn’t have even happened. Me? Oh certainly... I can’t say the same for my muffins...” The girl exhaled a soft sigh from her light pink lips before looking down at her disheveled creation. “I’m afraid so... I guess I’ll have to remake them, it’s alright.”

Lettie was looking down at the tray of muffins before her, counting to make sure each of them were there. She needed exactly a baker’s dozen for her class the next morning. Her lack of paying attention caused her to round a corner, colliding with someone else, and her muffins scattering across the floor. “My goodness I am so sorry! Are you alright? Oh dear, I’ve got crumbs all over your shirt. I apologize, I can have that dry cleaned if you want.”

“Absolutely! Can’t forget the good mood that spreads during this time of the year. I honestly can’t think of a happier time.”

“I’m quite excited for Thanksgiving as well, it’s a lovely holiday too. Mostly because of the food. I’m biased seeing as though I’m a culinary arts major though.”

“It’s friendly to the right people. Myself, mainly.” As if tempted from all this talk, he ran a hand through his golden locks, combing them back. “Honestly, if it’s not a lover in bed type situation I’m just not alright with people doing that sort of thing. Puts me all out of sorts for the day.”

“You’re such a peculiar creature. A true wonder in the reality of this world. For I hope this place is never able to discover your secrets or truly understand you, it would simply ruin this mystic ora you radiate.” The blond contiued to grin at the male. He fascinated her, she was unable to help but grin at the thought. “That’s awful to hear. I hope you don’t have to deal with that then!”

“I’m ready for winter, Christmas, and nightly cups of hot cocoa.”

“Those are certainly some of the best nights. This might in fact be my favorite time of year. All the baked goods, the hot cocoa, and then the snow. It’s wonderful.”

“Strong person?” Tuke tilted his head to the side, not expecting the word she used to be strong. “Huh, maybe I am.” He smirked to himself, shaking his head. “It really was nothin’ though. Not the first time I’ve done it either.” He shrugged. “Where are you from?”

“I’d certainly say so. I wouldn’t be able to do it, that much is clear.” Lettie’s blonde curls continued to bounce as she nodded to assure she meant what she said. He seemed to have it much more together than she did. “Really? Wow, that’s even more impressive. Did you not get bored? How did you care for yourself?” The blond was immediately intrigued by his words, wishing to better understand. “Market Chipping, England. And yourself?”

“A kitten well thats adorable, Oh no..that.. well I guess I understand but I could really use this little guy you know.. I..I didnt have alot of help back home.” he said softly eyes gleaming when they looked towards the ground. “Oh no miss I dont want to take up your time.. thats kind of you. Thank you.”

“He’s the absolutely light of my life, well after my sister that is. I love him very much. He really helps me too, so I entirely understand. I bet you’ll be able to keep him, it just isn’t right to take him away.” She nodded her head, a small frown beginning to form. “It’s no problem at all, it would be my pleasure. I’m not doing anything else, really.”

“I think,” Howl observed, not much weight in his tone but still attempting an air of seriousness, “that would certainly be grounds for homicide. I don’t do all that much personally to it,” he lied, “but I still feel quite murderous when someone decides to put a hair out of place without due permission.”

“Homicide? Quite some drastic measures, wouldn’t you say? I shall never touch you hair without your permission, I’m even more assured that I won’t after learning that.” A gentle laugh trickled from her lips, delicately dancing through the air. “Is that so? Your hair looks marvelous for you not having to do much to it. Your hair must be very friendly since it behaves so nicely.”

“I agree, one thousand percent, it’s just plain rude. Not often, no, but more than I’d like them to. Exactly, you get me Lettie. I have a precise and structured hair care regimen and greasy fingers don’t enter into it.“

“That’s not very kind of them...” She frowned at the thought, putting a hand gently against her curls in hopes that no one would be touching them without her permission. “It’s not easy to make hair do as it’s told. Curling my hair takes me ages, if someone began touching it and messed that all up I certainly wouldn’t be pleased.”

“Oh, I guess it’s like…basically kinda getting out of any kind of civilization, living in the trees and woodsy areas. Surrounding yourself with nothing but nature, eh?” He did his best to explain, though, he didn’t do a very good job. “Really? Huh. I’ve always felt very close with nature.”

“Oh, really? That’s fascinating. I don’t think I would ever be able to do that. You must be a very strong person to do something like that.” Lettie didn’t even have the ability to fathom what he’d said, seeming impossible for her to ever complete that task. “Perhaps it’s just where I’m from. It’s still quite a shame though.”

“You don’t suppose.. they would allow certain animals on campus do you?” He smiled softly his mind already working out an idea. “Oh.. I. I hope he is. Thank you so much.. I can barely see straight and this pain hasn’t gone away this little guy could really help.. your a lifesaver.”

“Well... I have a kitten that they did take away from me when I first got him, pets aren’t exactly allowed on campus. I’ve started to find little ways to hide him after I got him back. It takes some thought but you can get away with it.” Lettie’s face dropped as he contiued to speak. “Oh my goodness, that’s so horrible to hear. May I do anything for you? That would be absolutely terrible if they took your dog away from you. Would you like me to walk with you to the fountains? Just in case you get lost.”

“You can look, but don’t touch. Same goes for the hair.”

“Oh, I would never. It’s just rude to touch people’s things without asking. Do people touch your hair without your permission often? That’s absolutely awful, that only causes it to be greasy.”

“You sure miss a lot when you’re out becoming one with nature, eh? Hard to believe it’s been a full month.”

“Becoming one with nature? Do you mind me asking just exactly what that means? I cannot say I’ve ever felt too close with nature.” The girl gave him a smile, light laughter tumbling out as she did.

“Aren’t you something? You look like you need a home..” he mummered. With a found dog poster..nick smirked looking around him and down at the map in his hand. “The fountains huh.. where is- excuse me.. could you tell me where the fountains are?”

Lottie flipped to the next page of her book, sitting on a bench outside was exactly the place for her to be studying. It was great weather, at least in her opinion, and her room was feeling quite stuffy. Hearing another voice she looked up to see where it had come from. “Oh, of course! Did you find a furry friend?” She smiled at the pup before standing up to point where he needed to go to find his destination. “You’ll go up and then take a turn to the right, should be on your left.” 

‘Yah don’t have to wear a costume for this party do yah?” Pongo asked. “Looks like I let my procrastination at it again and forgot to get one together…”

“I don’t believe so... It seems that I was unable to find time to get one myself. Usually there’s something you can make work from your closet if you need to.”
